because im young with not a lot of capital (tens of thousands), but it's happening. a lot of it is risk management to be honest with you, the TA is just there to give you the best odds possible. it's mainly a matter of determining the short, medium, and long-term trends, and then using a volume-weighted indicator of some sort that should agree in a proper trend and disagree on weakness. it's actually fairly simple and common sense, but the main problem is people look at indicators as "magic lines" instead of actually understanding wtf they are telling you about what price and volume are doing over time.

There are 2 days of potentially horrific news where the market isnt open. Surely you'd want to be out of the market by the end of the week, and go back in if things aren't as bad as expected on Monday.
