Unemployment is at 3%ish and is at the lowest in my lifetime. However, the younger generation and the education system are such shit that nobody really trusts anybody under 30 without good connections. This means any boomer with experience or any HIGHLY skilled stem types are making a killing rn but any regular college graduate will struggle. I had to keep interning post grad and found a job after 4ish months and probably 100+ applications. My theory is that the economy will become two castes, skilled producers/stem types and unskilled regular people that will have wages lowered due to a high supply of labor (immigration) and middling demand which will make them have to grovel to make over 50k/year.

to be fair, labor participation rate has increased as well. Discouraged workers arent counted as unemployed even though they are literal neets so its actually higher than 3%

Young people literally have 0 community & hope for the future so that demographic under 30 is getting yeeted into coping with you name it (drugs, booze, gaming, mindless tv, sex, etc.). I'm doing security now since I gave up on my degree. I just wanted to switch to night shift since I want to be alone. And ya, I live in cali so no way I'm moving with the price of real estate. Shit is a rip off. Have basically been all in btc this whole time.

yeah I just assumed you meant decreased. With crypto just like most investing you can trade but it is kinda gambling. All the money I've made in crypto was long term (multi year) holds that I literally forgot I even owned until logging back into an old account. Honestly, at this point most NiBBas aren't even investing & are just trying to beat our 2% inflation every year, otherwise you're kinda getting cucked by those printers at the FED. Everyone Ik is getting fucked by their parents and teachers (sometimes literally), in debt (thank god I commuted to college), and underemployed (or pulled strings to wage cuck in a shitty existence). I take solace in lifting and a few other things but I feel like things will come to a head eventually with a mass movement (hopefully it isn't commie).

I'll tell you what worked for me and what will help if a recession happens: go to communities like churches or something, be nice to people, many of them are business owners, they'll happily hire you since for them its not about the money
I'm not telling you to join a religion or not I'm telling you that this is what worked for me (I also have the benefit of being in an immigrant community who are more warm to their own)
