Go to Reddit. They’ll tell you what to buy. If you hang around here you’ll end up buying BSV, Nulink, and Pink.

BTC hashrate will plummet post halving. We will be seeing many mining operations outside of places like China shut down operations.

At current levels the halving means that BTC rewards will drop by 53692.75 USD Per block. Operations within that margin area will have no choice but to kill their operations.

The price isnt going to sky rocket because Miners decide to sell higher. There are too many traders and too much existing BTC for a block reward reduction to have this effect because traders will just keep pushing them down.

Further, these operations that shut down may actually dump stacks to cover costs and take what profit they have; actually pushing the price lower, not higher.

Bitcoin is antiquated

The same could have been said every other halving. After all, who in their right mind would pay hundreds/thousands of dollars for some internet token pretending to be money?

Truth is, crypto as a whole is still pretty much in price discovery. Treat it like any other somewhat risky investment. You probably won't lose everything (unless you lose your private key, lol), but results are not guaranteed.

History then: Bitcoin was born as an exit for when the commies come and steal your stuff.
It's great, but governments hate it more than gold.
It's ancap and minarchists money (libertarians).
It's based on not trusting the system, or a third party for that matter.
The only downside on the near perfect money (bitcoin) is the fact that even tho your "account" is not tied to your name, your history transaction can be followed, so it have a slight privacy issue (could be good for the future tho).
If you are interested in nearly absolute privacy and think that governments or a faggot in a fancy suit shouldn't spy on every transaction that you make, look into Monero too.

> I want to buy some bitcoin but is it a good idea right now ?
I think so.
Just remember that Bitcoin and the criptos are volatile.
Just try not to buyt high and sell low.

I suggest you watch this video:
And try to be your bank.
And look into hardware wallets.

Why, because you cant afford Bitcoin fees?
Let me be clear; bitcoin is NOT for p*or people, and if anything the blocksize should be even smaller.

Bitcoin depends on free societies. We are quickly getting rid of such societies. There is no future for bitcoin, the whole thing is a bubble.

Seriously, this is the bottom as the price has been moving hyperbolically upwards looking at all bottoms.
The way I did it at $3.5k a year ago I kept longing always keeping bids ready to buy for cash the same amount of btc as the size of my position, if I got liquidated. I never got liquidated and scored like 10x profit on my positions.
This time I shorted 0.0011 btc at 30X leverage at $9100, then longed $7685 at 20X. Liquidation at $7341. It's like 850 contracts on 0.0064 btc margin so far. I will not be setting any bids this time.

>but is it a good idea right now ?
dunno it's complicated
pros: halving will require it to double from previous low which was at 6k, and is du for an other rally soonish like in 1-2 years $100k is likely.
cons: in a recession cash is king and all assets take a dive, highly risky and speculative assets don't perform well in crisis, the halving is also a traumatic event that can go wrong with miner capitulation and hardforks if price drops and the global situation is crap altho corona will clear up by summer till next fall most likely.
