Remember how bZx got hacked last month by exploiting their single price feed?
Chainlink is the answer.

Of course Chainlink fudders were in raging denial lmao

how much are they paying for the privileged of using chainlink orakles?

Whatever it is, it's a small price to pay for security against these types of exploits.

Pretty telling that they rush to Chainlink after a big oracle exploit.

So basically I made the right decision using my spare dollar in checking account buying LINK? Should I empty my basic bitch investment account of my only 10 grand and put it all in LINK?

I suggest you do some research and base your decision on that.

Good thing we can rely on chainlink always providing accurate data... oops

My research says yes. Granted that's only a couple of days. Fuggit

If I were in your shoes, the recent news about Oracle and Baseline (Microsoft, AMD, EY, ...) alone would probably make me feel pretty confident.
But do know that Link can go violently either way in the short term regardless.
That's how I invested two years ago, I considered the money to be completely lost the second I bought.

What he means is that there were two separate incidents before Chainlink integration if I’m not mistaken.

This integration is a really good trial by fire for Chainlink. If it succeeds, many more will likely have to bend the knee. If they manage to exploit again, well, it’s not looking good.

There will always be other exploits, but using a variety of price feeds via an even greater variety of oracles closes a huge backdoor.

Here's the first incident btw.

The weak point here is circled in red; the only price feed here was Kyber, so manipulation was easy.

And the second attack was manipulation at the actual oracle level, see pic.

So Chainlink would have helped in both cases:

1) first case: because a side effect of Chainlink is the use of multiple sources

2) second case: because Chainlink are much more robust at the actual oracle level (first of all because they are decentralized)
