We could see silver crashing at the same time the market does, then will pump to unfathomable levels once investors/boomers want a safe space to put their money in without feeling like they play monopoly. If you're going to buy a PSA AR, get one of their premium uppers with the FN barrel. They group better with good ammo and are chrome lined so they'll last damn near forever as well as being easy to clean. As for barrel length, choice is up to you, 16" or 20" will work fine for the vast majority of things needed from it. A nice optic might also be something to consider for longer ranges unless you are particularly good with irons. Ammo and mags are obvious, buying both in bulk will lead to some savings and give you some ammo to practice with. If you plan on traveling or moving quite a bit with it, get a sling. However, you'll need a new rear sight with the second upper. The FN barrel is where the additional cost comes from but it is a nice improvement as it is built to a higher standard and FN has a great history of firearms manufacture (they are the current supplier of M4s to the US military). The chrome lined bore eases cleaning and lasts much longer than a nitrided barrel. Also, the gas key and inside of the bolt carrier are also chrome lined which helps when cleaning the carbon out of there. Just remember that the lower must being shipped to an FFL and that you have to be 21 or older to get it. Feel free to ask questions and find out what upper you want before committing.
