It only makes economic sense to produce those products if you can sell them for more than what it costs to make them. how about you put 2 moving averages of different values on the chart of the timeframe of your choice and take every short trade they give you? i mean, you can certainly do better if you learn more advanced TA but if you have the fundamental story to back it up, why not just take every time the TA lines up with your FA?

>> No.17675694

It's actually fundamentally IMPERATIVE that the Fed and government does not let equity markets fall any further right now.

The concept of a bail-in hinges on the idea that the freshly minted equity in a bank or investment bank will replace your unsecured deposits that would have been lost, but since the bank is "too big too fail" will be bailed out.

If people don't have faith equities will only rise, this restructuring will be futile as former depositors immediately sell their equity to recoup losses.

If the USG thinks bail-ins are at all feasible, then they NEED to throw cash at the market right now. They cannot leave any room for people worried their restructured deposits might lose value if they consider bail-ins at all feasible. The other option is of course TARP 2 ELECTRIC BOOGALOO which... Yeah no.

honestly still don't know why everyone with a RH account didn't straight-up switch the moment $0 fees were introduced in October. i remember because it's the same time i got into mainly scalping because that's one of the people it benefits the most. even if i make $10 i get to keep the whole thing (minus taxes of course), before a $10 profit trade would actually be -$4 because it was about $7 per transaction. scaling out half your position would cost around $21 because it's 3 trades technically, it makes a huge difference if you want to take a lot of small bites out of the market.

shilling tards into buying the VIX was /our/ maymay

baggy made the first one i ever saw, for TVIX, with the mens warehouse dude, then i suggested that we use mike as his quotes fit the personality type for a CEO of the VIX. then mememaster made this one for me cuz i asked him specifically to overlay mike with 911 carnage, and since he was a fucking mememaster and absolutely baste, he did it

dont you dare try to impersonate mememaster
he was the fucking jewel of /smg/

We could easily break records and have a 8-10% day, just saying. Get above the local downwards trend during globex, fed activates the buying machines like we saw during the 5% pump day a few days ago and shorters would get liquidated like never before and basically help push price upwards. I'm not saying it will happen, but they could time that kind of scenario easily and that's why you should never short down here expecting massive returns after a 20% correction in the largest market in the world. The market doesn't just go straight down which a lot of people seems to forget

There wont be any failure. The banks will have to gamble on offering credit to the youth instead of milking grandma's teats dry.
Houses will finally become affordable and overnight many people will stop being socialist. Any millenials who were well off before the crash will be fuming, though. Imagine having to still pay interest rates on a $600K home in a neighborhood thats now averaging prices at $300K since all the boomers that lived in your neighborhood died and Uncle Sam needs to collect inheritance tax immediately. I'd be fucking fuming.

That's an interesting comparison, but consider that because of those previous inventions (in particular the computer) there are more consumers than ever with higher credit limits than ever.
Especially with emerging markets in China (lol rip), India, and Africa (Soon™); if these digital media companies (Facebook, Marvel movies, etc.) play their cards right they have the opportunity to get in on the ground floor and dominate these markets for years to come.
That's much longer term though, in the short term I don't know how exactly the market has become so inflated.
