17636023 No.17636023 [Reply] [Original]

My goal is 300k USD. That is making it for me. I've currently invested 10k USD so all I need is a 10x. I can live off 300k for 10 years.

I'm a software engineer, work 65 hrs (75 hrs with commute) a week which is why I've been able to save up 10k to invest into crypto. So when I make it I'm going to start my own company and just live easy and free.

What about you guys?

software engineers dont make much money btw . other professors like teachers, nurses, janitors etc often make more

its very location dependent... you have software engineers in the bay area making 200k/yr but then again you also have janitors making 300k/yr https://time.com/4555692/san-francisco-bart-janitor-salary/

I'm 95% of the way there, and gaining daily on my DAI + Ferrum staking.

Have you tried starting a real business?

I generally make about 6x pretty constantly. Obviously it's not an exponential 6x, but if you take into account a 6x inventory turnover, a $2k investment yields approximately $75k per year. Reinvest a portion of that into new products to grow as quickly as you like.

>> No.17637307

>>17636165
Has to be bait but what you're describing is a 5 times doubleing, thats a (2^5)x or 32x.
Even if you're so dumb not to understand the difference between multiplier and exponantial the answer would be an exponential of 5 and not 6

>> No.17637339

200k would be my “make it”
I have ~2k usd as passive income.
200k would pay off my property and allow me to rent it out, it’s a single family I’m converting to a duplex. Then use the rental profits to purchase a few acres and build a smaller, but luxurious house.

All private label. RA and dropshipping are low hanging fruit with meh margins.

First product cost nothing, makes $13-15k/month. I invested nothing into it as they were samples.

Second product coming back online in a couple weeks. $12.99 retail, $1.7 cogs. Net is $6, so 3.5x on that. $16k/month sales, 3x yearly turnover. Original investment of $8500.

Third product online cost $48, I net $130, so 2.7x. Total investment $38k, 2x/earnings turnover currently but sales have only been going 3 months so I expect sales to triple with a 6x turnover. Like $30k/month when it starts selling, only about $5k now.

Final product in pre production cost $2.85, price is $15.99, net like ~$8. Around 2.8x on that. $22k/month, original investment approx $7500. 6x turnover.

Mind you this all started from my original product profit, so I count this all as part of my original roi.

If I assumed just original investment amounts, I paid $55k and will generate around $985k/year of which around 40% is take home money net of reinvesting into inventory.

Not bad for starting with around $2k of living money and some samples 2 years ago.

Well done brother! Did RA for a few years, about 80k/year in profit.

Burned out. Looking to start my first PL.

Do you source everything from china? (encountering any supply chain issues due to the virus?)

Also, when you say product cost nothing - your not taking the initial investment into consideration right? (usually takes 2-5k for initial order + 20-30% on top for marketing/launch)?

Thanks again.

My initial product was comprised of free samples from a manufacturer I met from a friend. Cost me nothing to launch as it was a unique niche product that started selling pretty much the same day I listed it and got a few buddies to give a review for.

Usa, china and brazil. I got my last order out before corona. My pre-production is slightly delayed but nothing crazy since im still making final changes to design.
