Oil news! OPEC has agreed to 1.5m bpd cut through at least June. However, OPEC+ countries, Russia and Kazakhstan, have not made a decision yet. OPEC is proposing its member countries do a 1m bpd cut and Russia etc commit to the remaining 500k bpd. Talks ongoing. Decision likely tomorrow. Oil is down today as traders de-risk. Will Russia agree? I give it about 80% chance they will. They don't benefit much from being stubborn on this point as they will not be comfy with sub-$40 oil for any length of time.
