Let's do a little trip into Bronze Age history to put things into perspective.
Back in ~1300 BC the Mediterranean world was just as interconnected as our world is today. The ancient people depended on far away sources for Bronze working materials; Germans in the Baltic regions and Celtics in the Northwest traded amber and tin with the rest of the ancient world, a phenomenal bargain for both sides. The Minoans were the biggest distributors of Tin in the Mediterranean sea and quickly became the dominant trade empire way before Phoenicia established Carthage and other colonies. The entire globe prospered without brakes and almost no one saw a crisis coming, preparations weren't commonplace.

Degeneracy was at its peak. The ruling class bathed in virgin blood and ate the young without any stigmas attached, soon it became a common religious practice to burn your own child in return for great riches. The people of "Sodom and Gomorrah" lived and died during these times. From the survivors' perspective it was only a matter of time until SHTF.
At the very end of the "Golden" Bronze Age, widespread deadly plagues, long dry periods, earthquakes, volcano eruptions and floods were followed by invasions by sea and from the primitive North. The Baltic cities were covered by flood lakes, just as Minos fell where earthquakes shattered the island of Crete. Heavy economic disruptions followed and Bronze was no longer in use. Greeks invaded the Levant, Nordics invaded Mycene, Hyksos invaded Egypt, Hebrews invaded Canaan and the list goes on, many people were either genocided or starved in isolation.

Right now we're experiencing similar patterns and it's giving people legitimate reasons to worry about the dawn of a new Age. Globalism might end in bloodshed. Boomers are worried about their stocks, while overpopulated poor regions spill over into industrialized nations, where natives will soon be fighting for their lives.

We like to assume that people in 10.000 B.C. were just as primitive as we'd like them to be.

It took about a couple hundred years until things cooled down back then. A dark age comes first. In modern times it could be a lot faster, but that's a mere speculation.

We are in the midst of a new economic age. The age of information and technology. Never before has data, goods, ideas been exchanged at such speeds. In every period of economic growth, there will be huge displacement of workers as they transition into re-specializing. The real trick is how do you cash in on it; find the next big wave? The answer is crypto. This is the first time where the barrier to entry to enter a global market is a computer and your own currency. This has been a long time coming. You just need to find the next wave. Markets will move, areas of production will move, just keep an open eye on what will be moving towards the next market standard. It won't be stocks, and it won't be just one coin we have now. As normal Chad's and Brad's start seeing value in crypto and governments try to regulate crypto, I hope you can make your fortunes before that happens.

When you said they traded amber and tin, I was like, "The fossilized tree sap amber?"...I never knew this was so valuable in the ancient days. Weird. Apparently was used as decoration/gem stone and could also be burnt almost as an incense
