These answers always annoy me because yes, life reproduces. Life creates other life. But that doesn't explain the meaning of life. It's like a circular statement. The meaning of life is to create more life. Ok? That doesn't lead us anywhere. It doesn't get to the core meaning of that life or where it is headed.

Evolution has to be a significant factor I think. Life doesn't merely reproduce, it iterates on itself, develops, improves, becomes more complex. Becomes more advanced. You could say species or organisms are just DNA replicating/storage mechanisms. Ok but again what is the end game of the DNA itself? Why is it seeking to survive and spread?

If you agree that all DNA shares a single source then it doesn't seem like it would have a preference of which species carries it on, just that it does carry on. It's like all the varieties of life and different species are various attempts at an ideal container for that DNA. But still, we as humans are undoubtably more advanced/complex than the previous containers, and we will continue to advance.

reproduction is not the meaning of life, it's merely the reason why the chemical reaction of life doesn't stop as long as the sun provides us with energy. there is no inherent meaning of life itself, you can try to attach some meaning to your conscious experience but that's it.
