You could argue that every shitcoin introduced into the market “eats away” at BTCs market cap but the sheer reality is that we will never see the 2017 alt bull run again. Specifically, we will never have another market where all coins “rise with the tide”. Banks and institutions are starting to get on boarded, the market has matured, and its becoming apparent that only coins with functional utility with meaningful network effects will survive. That fun cation always utility can come in a variety of methods. For the most part, the 99% of this alt market that is still bleeding will continue to bleed and eventually die.
