Let's get a comfy thread going boys for the only fungible crypto.

If you are new to monero and have questions, please ask and monero senpai will be happy to answer.

Bought 12 more yesterday, very excited to see where we go this next bull run. We could break $1k if we get back to the same BTC price it was at during 2017 (and BTC is over $20k)

Monero has the lowest inflation in crypto. The block reward is under 2 xmr. The upward pressure on the price will reveal itself as more news stories about chain analysis come to fruition.

Additionally, Monero actually has a current use case. There is no speculation. Monero can be used today and guarantee virtually complete privacy due to it's privacy being built in the base layer. The dark net is transitioning towards monero because of this, and to avoid future chain analysis tech improvements. As crypto goes, Monero will be the go-to crypto to avoid government surveillance, and for people to hide money from taxation.

This shitcoin don't get even used on the dark market at greater scale.

Can't scale either.

Much more advaned privacy solutions on the way too.

So, no i don't buy your heavy bag.

And when it gets delisted from major exchanges because of regulations, even newfags will not buy your bags anymore.

>This shitcoin don't get even used on the dark market at greater scale.
provably false.
>Can't scale either.
wrong.
>Much more advaned privacy solutions on the way too.
there does not exist another crypto that has built in privacy. and monero is actively researching zksnarks but as of now it is not a realistic option to have w/r/t scaling and tx size
>So, no i don't buy your heavy bag.
that's fine pajeet
>And when it gets delisted from major exchanges because of regulations, even newfags will not buy your bags anymore.
except it is not getting "delisted". this is baseless fud and is exactly what people said about bitcoin when it first became popular.

Go and lurk dark net forums. Google house market.

https://blog.chainalysis.com/reports/darknet-markets-cryptocurrency-2019

> Finally, we may see more darknet markets accept, or perhaps even mandate the usage of privacy coins like Monero. Monero uses an obfuscated public ledger to make it more difficult to see the senders, receivers, or amounts of cryptocurrency exchanged on transactions. As of now, Empire appears to be the only major darknet market accepting Monero, but that could change in 2020.

It's meh. Not nearly as good as coinbase. But at least you can buy XMR. I've always preferred coinbase -> binance -> XMR though.

I think bulletproofs put it around 1800tps. Monero has dynamic blocks so if the network grows, the TPS grows with blocksize increase. If all of a sudden the network right now experienced the max the network would crash. Called an atomic bomb attack. It’s a flaw of dynamic blocks.

>> No.17387568

>>17387475
Well monero can have very large blocks because of it's dynamic block size, so I've heard estimates about 1700 tps however many nodes don't have the bandwith to support this. So it's kind of unknown. But as scaling improves (they are introducing an upgrade on ring ct 2 later this year which should make txs smaller and more secure) the amount of tps should increase.

but that's exactly what they said about bit coin back in 2012; that and only druggies use it.

Now look at btc, this argument falls flat on it's face for any cryptocurrency.
