17357266 No.17357266 [Reply] [Original]

Multiple things here:
- Google announced Chainlink collab in June, this was their second major blockchain collab announced in August, both being members of ic3. Unlike Chainlink's integration with BigQuery which remains in the unused prototype stage, Google released a major blog post today unveiling actual case study by a third-party customer (Randstad, biggest HR firm in the world) https://cloud.google.com/customers/randstad.html
- it's based on similar tech as Libra (which also joined ic3 recently), protocol called HotStuff, which apparently is, well, hot stuff. Also revealed today on TG, their CEO was at Facebook HQ 2 days ago for an ic3 meetup - happened at the same time as the Ari fireside chat >>/biz/thread/S17331346#p17331765 - claims Libra is open to collab with other blockchain projects, and they're already talking but under NDAs
- tech advisor is Emin Gün Sirer, co-director of ic3 alongside Ari Juels, https://www.initc3.org/people.html although I believe he's on leave right now to focus on his own blockchain project (AVAlabs - which he has already indicated is interested in integrating LINK btw). He's also advised for Tezos (also an ic3 member) previously. Consider how both LINK and Tezos are dominating the market together tight now and what it says about ic3's level of influence.
- 3rd news CEO dropped today, they just joined Microsoft Accelerator program, and this is the beginning of them doing marketing
- to round things off, they also have working relations with IBM and AWS

Why haven't you heard of them before? They have no token yet. Sale seems to be a major clusterfuck that's been going on since 2018, you need 15k to buy in right now. They were also hacked in 2018, lots of drama etc and a lot thought they exit scammed but seems they were just in stealth and now deserve curiosity. Likely to blow up soon.

Libra hint = great news for LINK, confirmation they'll likely integrate. Google+Cyph also need oracles = inevitably LINK

If this doesn't at least make you curious...

As far as I know this is the first project that mentions being in talks with Libra and Libra seeking to collaborate with crypto projects (probably to shed their negative corporate image), we know Sergey has been talking but only because of crumbs and leaks. Combined with the ic3 ties and the other crumb in the archived link, this pretty much guarantees Libra will integrate LINK eventually IMO.

Honestly after the Arbitrum/Chainlink news I pretty much think the platform "race" is over. The rate of development of off-chain scaling solutions has outpaced on-chain solutions by a hyperbolic factor.

smart contracts to automate independent energy grid generators payments, both for usage as well for down grid time

i worked with wind generators a while, and this part is an example of operational cost that adds no value to the company, yet is expensive, you often see more employees in the financial office than in the engineering

if you can come up to a company with a full build plan on how they can do it, you could easily charge 15% of the savings for 4 years or more

Listen man, leave this place. It is an intellectual hell hole, anybody with a modicum of intelligence is either ignored (because their thoughts go over the heads of the idiots here), or are shouted down by idiots and shills. Seriously, take your ideas elsewhere. Reddit is slightly better, but still not great. The quality of conversation has dropped drastically since the 2017 bubble, and it is not going to recover. What if I have a smart contract for a shipment coming from China, say insurance on the delivery of some goods. Do I have to trust China and their data or can I verify it in other ways. I know more nodes equals more security and more sources of data provide greater redundancy but China is infamous for manipulation of facts and public opinion. There is no serious distinction between private enterprise and public. It all pretty much leads back to the ccp. So my data could be tampered with or the Chinese could ship "international" standard of raw material to me but when it arrives it was actually a chinese interpretation of an international standard. So how can I protect myself if this happens?
