I've driven a number of BMWs. They were hardly enjoyable, especially the SUV models. The only ones I liked were the new M Series due to power. But according to the dealer I worked for, the seal materials they use aren't very good, so seal issues are common, and the ones that do go, are hard to get to and very costly. Add that in with all the corners they cut for the sake of production. It's definitely not patrician. You're better off with a Range Rover supercharged probably. Even the M style SUVs were dumb slow. Not worth it.

Driving that as a daily driver is a death wish. You rely too much on other drivers driving well. With a car, even if you get hit by some retard, you will probably not even get injured unless you put yourself in a dangerous position which is just bad driving skills. It’s plagued by issues too you can find i8’s at auction for $50-60k. They are literal pleb tier cars. You’re correct about the seals on bmws. Valve cover gasket always goes bad. Oil filter housing gasket is another super common leak. And the oil pan usually leaks too. I’ve even seen rear main seals leak on the x5’s. They all leak oil. My mechanic was a bmw master tech so I’m not scared of the cars. The only ones that seem to hold up well are the i6 n/a motors - I can always find really clean 328xi’s. The turbo i6’s are a lot more problematic and usually have wastegate failure. & the bmw v8 motors are pure trash.

I love Range rovers and the way they ride but to say you’re better off with a range supercharged is kind of retarded. They’re the 2nd most unreliable car on jd power & associates. I’ve owned a bunch of them and I love the way they ride & look, but they are not for the faint of heart when it comes to repairs. They all have airbag suspension problems, Coolant leaks, & other engine problems. A lot of them used bmw v8’s which are horrible, and the new ones are made by literal pajeets at tata motors.

I had an F-Type R V8 that didn’t give me any issues aside from catalytic converters (my fault from getting the exhaust crackles and pops like a retard everytime i drove it non stop), battery issues, and my trunk latch got stuck a few times.
