Crypto has destroyed far more lives than it has benefitted, hasn't it.

Crypto hasn't destroyed anyone's lives. It hasn't disrupted any industry enough to ruin someone's livelihood, at least not yet.

The only people whose lives were "destroyed" by crypto are the same retards who always look for the next get rich quick scheme. This problem has been exacerbated by a new drug addled, low attention span, need-my-dopamine-fix now generation (if you believe in that stuff). If they didn't lose it all to crypto they would lose it all to the poker table, slot machine, lottery ticket, or the friend's uncle's startup that's a "sure thing"

If you lost your money in crypto you have no one to blame but yourself

caveat emptor
