Ayre's statements were "maybe" for the run-up iirc. I can imagine adoption news being announced at the conference itself. Bigger impact.
However, Ayre is clearly subject to hype (only human) so actually I'll take any comments he made during the big January pump with a grain of salt. Same holds true for Creg, everyone gets more vocal and confident during massive pumps.
