Apple bears are pathetic in my humble desu. The company has the US mobile user firmly in their grasp. And these pocket computers wirelessly attach us to the flood of dopamine constantly available through social media, video games, pornography, Netflix, anime, and options gambling.

No one has been able to overthrow King Apple and theyve been trying for decades. Google and Samsung will keep trying, Microsoft already gave up.

>Apple said on Monday that it was cutting its sales expectations because of the coronavirus in China, in a sign of how the outbreak has hit global business and is set to exact a steep toll.

>The iPhone maker, which is highly dependent on Chinese factories and Chinese consumers, said in a statement that its supply of smartphones would be hurt because production was ramping up more slowly than expected as China reopened its factories. Apple also said that demand for its devices in China had been hurt by the outbreak; it closed all 42 of its stores in the country last month and most have yet to reopen.

>“Work is starting to resume around the country, but we are experiencing a slower return to normal conditions than we had anticipated,” said Apple, one of the world’s most valuable public companies.

>Apple is one of the first companies to publicly disclose the extent of the chain effect from China and the virus on the business world. Many global firms rely on factories in China to manufacture goods as varied as socks and laptop computers. And Chinese consumers, who had ridden a wave of rising wealth, had been avid buyers of luxury goods, iPhones and many other items.

Nice, thanks. I was thinking about V. Only thing I wonder about is if people take this as a bigger signal for the economy then V and MA might go down (they both did on 1/30 with the major indexes).

I was also considering NFLX for this week as they have no China exposure.

Why are you upset? No one said you suck at trading or that it was impossible to make money off of those stocks, they said you deserve to lose money if you invest in bio stocks, which is true. This can further be extended to trading them in general due to how slow the move and their high risk.

Post portfolio and learn how to form proper sentences.

Me: Retire w/full pension, medical in 11 years + a separate traditional 401k that I can tap at age 60. I have to put in at least 27 yrs. Sick time can (and has been used to) knock down the time you gotta put in. I'll be 48 (or lower cause that sick time is still getting racked up each month). New hires: Solid age 65. No pension, just a 401k. The 401k is just a Target Fund so really you could do it on your own instead of going through the workplace middlemen. Medical coverage is still the same though.

Heckin AAPL Guidance Cut-erino is already priced in. do you really think you are smarter than multi trillion hedge funderinos and motherfucking bankers like goldman sachs elitst college graduates? If anything if it wasn't priced in stocks would have been much higher. Don't even ask the questionerino ever again. The answer is yes, it's priced in. Think Amazon will beat the next earningerinos? That's already been priced in-erino. You work at the drive thru for Mickey D's and found out that the burgers are made of human meaterino? Priced in. You think insiders don't already know that? The market is an all powerful, all encompassing being that knows the very inner workings of your subconscious before you were even bornerino. Your very existence was priced in-erino decades ago when the market was valuing Standard Oilerino's expected future earnings-erinos based on population growth that would lead to your birth, what age you would get a car, how many times you would drive your car every week, how many times you take the bus/train, etc. Anything you can think of has already been priced in, even the things you aren't thinking of. You have no original thoughterinos. Your consciousness is just an illusion, a product of the omniscent market. Free will is a mytherino. The market sees all, knows all and will be there from the beginning of time until the end of the universerino (the market has already priced in the heat death of the universe). So please, before you make a post on /smg/-erino asking whether AAPL has priced in earpods 11 saleserinos or whatever, know that it has already been priced in and don't ask such a dumb fucking question againerino.

Hello, I'm drunk so it's time to shill TMDX again.

>Background
I have been in the weirdly niche area of medicine which is organ procurement and transplant for a few years now and have genuinely never used or seen used a device which does not belong to Lung Bioengineering (recently bought out by United Therapeutics/UTHR) or TransMedics (TMDX)

I work for an unspecified transplant program and in the course of our operations, my team flies to various hospitals across the country and procures organs. Early last year, I heard a lot of discussion about TMDX's OCS, centers buying it to run studies and the like. Since Duke successfully used their device to facilitate the first ever donation after cardiac death (DCD) in December of last year, the hype over this thing has skyrocketed within the transplant world.

>Shill
Why are DCD hearts a big deal for transplant programs? To put it in perspective, there were somewhere around 9200 standard criteria (brain dead donor) hearts transplanted in 2016. There were just shy of 1700 DCD donors whose hearts simply went to waste because we simply didn't have the capability to. Google cites over 1.4 million for a heart but the internal stats that I remember from an industry study is more like $800k a pop. These machines cost nearly $250k a pop and have $40k single-use circuits. Even if only half of those DCD hearts are recovered, that's a shit ton of money for hospitals.

I think Ford stock sucks.. it'll probably be in the 6s by the end of the year.. but their trucks are really good.. besides the some of their diesel trucks in the early 2000s

>Further Shilling
They have new appliances in the pipeline, basically derivatives of their already FDA approved OCS machine which is quickly becoming the industry standard. They have no real competitors as LungBio focuses solely on ex-vivo lung perfusion leaving TMDX to focus on liver perfusion.

There aren’t any options for this company, you won’t 2x overnight or anything, but there is absolutely long term value in this company. I honestly think United Therapeutics will straight up buy them out before 2022.

>tldr
Buy TMDX in Minecraft. This is not financial advice. I don't work for this company because if I lived in Massachusetts I could blow my brains out.

Ford, sad to say, sucks. They gave up on cars so even more car sales go to GM,Toyota, etc now. They took a great small truck (Ranger) and fucked it up. They could've took the original Ranger design and merely stretched the cab to allow for 4 full size doors using the long bed ranger frame as a template but keeping the small box bed. Been a simpler thing to have done than redo the truck from the ground up and fuck it up in the process. But I digress. The F-150, well, lets just say it's not a mid size anymore. It's a full size in line with the F-250. Look at a 1980's or 1990's F-150 then compare it to today's F-150. The dimensional differences are shocking. You'd think you were looking at a small truck instead of the "mid size" one. It comes down to a simple thing. Do you really need it to be that damn big? When most people who buy it just use it to get to work and back and not haul shit with it. So yeah Ford has fucked themselves. By making shit so overloaded and expensive v.s the actual real world needs of the consumer they've just fucked themselves into a pile of shit. Toyota, GM,etc are loving it. (The Tacoma is also a pile of shit now, they bloated it out, "small" it is not anymore)

No one sad to say. Your only hope is to get a used truck. I was the proud owner of three rangers. A 1988 extended cab, a 1992 regular cab, and the last a 2000 regular cab. The 2000 one, I bought it at under 25k miles and drove it for ten years till finally the engine blew at over 220 thousand miles (I lived much further from work than I do now, plus I took a few road trips). Aside from the blown engine nothing much was ever wrong with the truck other than regular maintenance stuff.

i disagree.. ford and chevy are strong trucks that can handle construction. Toyota or nissan are just trucks.. thats it.. maybe move grandma and grandpas furniture but thats it.. dodge has actually been stepping up their game.. but I would never buy a toyota or nissan truck to do any major construction

Ford stocks are shit, and their project revenues are plummeting right now.
Would not invest

I’ve seen plenty of Tacoma’s as work trucks on job sites

I think the biggest problem with ford and GM are the unionized gib me dats who work on the vehicles

JD Power is like the FDA of automobile analytics. We all know damn well that the FDA lobby's against the people. They create the idea that if it's not FDA approved, it's not goof for human consumption. If it's not highly coveted by stats by JD Power, it sucks. Complete biased bullshit.

I've been to walmart about 3 times in the past couple years and there is definitely a smell of despair in there as well.
Gamestop is worse though for sure. I think part of that is because most people can remember a time, around a decade ago, where game stores were exciting places. I remember waiting for Halo 3 until midnight on release...

so what are the plays looking forward? I'm worried about my LEAPS and the usual pump and dump with msft and spce is happening so where to now?

>> No.17306746

>>17306693
The way I look at it
LEAPS do have inherent risk. You should be worried about them. For LEAPS to work, you need to have a nice strong market, like 2015-2017 or 2019. If you get that, they're great, but you have to acknowledge the risk.

The plays going forward are the exact same as any other time in the history of investment: decide what your investment goals and risk tolerance is, and invest accordingly. If you want significant gains, you have to tolerate more risk.
If you want a little less risk but still a strong equity exposure, a combination of the etfs QLD and KNG is a good choice. More KNG/QQQX if you want more yield and less pain in a drawdown, more QLD if you want fatt gains in a bull market.

if you go to any construction site or house reno all the contractors show up in 90s-early 00s ford ranger or 150s, early 00s chevy silverados, or 90s-current toyota tacomas. and its mostly tacomas. i dont know i think in general most people have lost faith in domestic car/truck manufacturers in general.

I have never heard this saying, but I’m pretty sure the fed calls the top. As they say, economic expansions don’t die of old age. They die when the fed strangles them.
