most machines are shit mechanically desu unless you can get past use 500 servos to do the most basic shit, it's not that big of a deal

AI will be more of a threat sooner than mechanical automation, IMO.

The only thing that automation represents is increased productivity. Productivity has been increasing ever since people decided to build permanent settlements and stop roaming the earth looking for mammoths to chuck spears at.

In other words, automation is not going to be bad for humanity anymore than how cars were bad for horse ranchers or how light bulbs were bad for candle makers.
