If I really believe in myself I can be strong and stick with my plans. If I really believe in my judgement in picking out projects I will make money long run.

What about me: I have a good vision, but sometimes I am in a hurry and I do some shit

it's okay fren I have done retarded shit in my life that has made me legitimately consider ending everything, but I don't, because I know we're gonna make it

I learned that 'trading' is functionally indistinguishable ftom gambling, that SPECULATION is the art of risking a small stake with an expectation of an outsized return, that HOLDing isn't a meme and that whales control ALL markets so I'd better be on the right side of them at all times.

>> No.17262450

Not sure but I know I check my portfolio multiple times every hour and I don't know how to stop

But everytime I do wanna buy anything, I think "I could put this money in crypto instead" so

Someone says that with a good strategy you can make money even from gambling.

Further more, the 'all' chart is the only chart you need to look at to determine where an asset is in it's market cycle and to see the volume foot prints of the whales.

1. I'm impatient
2. I hate spending money on intangible things that don't provide me any actual utility
3. I don't like outsourcing my states of mind or emotions to a market I can't control
4. I hate the idea of being the guy who donates his money to the people who actually bought in early/"paying for others' lambos"
5. I myself am at a huge disadvantage just being a single human brain trying to "play the market" vs. bots, AI, algorithmic trading/etc.

That it takes time to learn, and failure.
But that I can learn from failure.

That may be very true. I can't, however. Took me blowing up my 3 first accounts to figure out. I'm apparently a slow learner.

>what you've learned about yourself from crypto
I dont think ive learned much from crypto desu, besides maybe understanding market cycles and how it applies to group psychology. I did learn a lot from 4chan though. I started coming here early/mid 2016 after redit banned the fat people hate subredit. 4chan taught me to believe in God as it manifests through my conscience. I think more than anything else, 4chan teaches you how to filter out bullshit and listen to yourself. It helped me filter through fake news at first. Summer/fall 2017 i started coming to /biz/. The same ability is useful in crypto. Since its decentralized, all crypto marketing is really just bagholders shilling their coins. The ability to sift through the bullshit that the "experts" sell is the reason 4channers will inherit the earth. Its why we all hold LINK and none of redit does.

For me: Everything related finance ends catastrophic.

I should do the world a favour and fucking bet all of my money on trump getting elected again.

Seems that i have a fucking superpower, i can collapse financal systems just by buying in.

Buying gold next month, do yourself favour and short it. The moment i buy, jeff bezos announces a mission for gold diggin asteroids.

On a large perspective, there's more than that.
Think to all the bullshit people was saying when eth was at $1 or something like that, they were playing with positions ($1.20, $0.80, then $2,15, then $1.15 and again) that now sound ludicrous.

depends on the game (meta game that is)

if you're playing poker with your buddies on weekends, then yeah, you can.
if you try and beat the house who's entire goal is to create un-winnable games as the time horizon increases, then no, and you're a fucking moron.

the goal of all risk taking is to arrange the meta game in such a way that your odds of success are >50% as time goes to infinity, whatever method that is.
if you properly define your terms, then gambling winds up meaning playing a fair game of random chance, meaning that there is inherently no way of positioning yourself properly.

I first dabbled in crypto/finances with my entire savings/net work of 4.5k as a desperate college student. I broke 5 digits in two or three months, learning absolutely nothing. hopped on a few leaks of insider info, maxed out at 60k unrealized, missed just about every major pump during alt-season, bled out over the next two years, and started DCA ing into a select few coins when I got a job because I realized that on the individual level, the golden tickets are random, risky, and not guaranteed. I learned that I'm willing to be patient, that I'm in it for the long run, and that traditional wisdom is right, and cliche for a reason.
