See it in this way:
1) By One side you have 50/50 chances to be millionaire even with a 10k stack profiting of a new virgin market/technology
2) By the other side you have the possibility to increase stack swinging but it's very dangerous because one wrong move and you are priced out forever
Now.. a rational person chooses the number 1) option.
But when you are greedy there is no rationality in play.
