https://youtu.be/oD2gXY4piF4 <watch this it's funny and describes what I'm asking in more detail

Should I do this? Situation:
>26 year old hopeless suicidal autistic and mostly NEET, minimalist lifestyle
>6.5k in CC debt, behind almost two months on payments
>Don't care about potential future beyond age 35 at this rate
>Only upshot is want to make life better, get some skillz (currently taking some intro technical classes) and a real job, maybe invest in crypto

I can't afford to keep paying it off, it'll severely interrupt my unemployed lifestyle by forcing me to work. Plus fuck Joos. I just don't want to fuck up my future with garnished wages if I ever get a real job. It's also pretty unlikely I'll ever get a real job so if that happens I don't even care, I'll just live out of a van. I'm in California if that matters

Just keep in mind that your purchasing power for the next ten years is severely restricted if you do this. Unless you have the cash, you can't have it. You'll be renting and buying shitty cars for a while. Other than that it's a standard business practice that millions of people participate in every year. No shame in a fresh start.

i try to post in these threads when i see them. i did this, had maybe 70k unsecured cc debt from a failed business. just didnt pay, ended up settling 2-3 years later for $5k or so and the rest was forgiven by the creditors

>> No.17179416

>>17179403
Damn sucks Im only fucking myself over 6k

Should I open as many CC as I can, Max them and default at the same time so that in 7 years or whatever it's all clean

lmfao

I'm 12k in cc debt with no job but have $100k in link i'm scared of getting hit with fraud charges if I just don't pay them back. really tempted to fuck them over just for lulz and cause I'll probably never really have to engage with a the tradfi system again for any reason

>> No.17179437

>>17179403
Did anything go on your credit report for settling? Obviously the missed payments would... but like what if I called the CC companies up and offered to settle? What would happen? I'm sure they would close the accounts, but public record?

I have 16k in student loan debt and 8k in savings
Am I make it Anons?

16k isn't that bad, there's people with 100k and they're in a heap of shit. You'll make it.

Stop paying.
Default on it.
???
Profit.

You wont be able to take loans etc for a couple years, you'll be blacklisted, but it doesn't last forever.

Defaulting or claiming bankruptcy is not the end of the world. Your problem arises when you want to cash your crypto out. They will put you in prison if they find out.

Can't you be sued and wage garnished

>> No.17180227

>>17180027
It's pretty unlikely that you'll get sued for 6k, it'll cost more in court fees than what they'll get from you

Even if they do though all you have to do is show up in court and tell them you don't have the ability to pay, court will usually side with the debtor if it'll cause undue hardship
