Stop buying attention whore shit. The stock you really need to be putting your money behind doesn't have a thousand news story covering it. It's some drilling company somewhere or some place that makes widgets that's about to get a big new gov't contract. It's costly as fuck to be a trend chaser. Trust, by the time it hits the news cycles, all the big money players are in position and ready to extract every single dollar from it rubes like you will throw at them.

I have my money in a shitty little search engine that no one's talking about. But reportedly, their tech completely shits on Google's. So either Google buys them out and I profit or in 20 years they hand google their asses and I profit. (Granted the 2nd is much less likely.) But I learned from Apple/Microsoft, inferior tech gets you a long with with the plebs but over the long run quality wins out.

I like this advice, do you have any tips on where you can find upstarts to invest in? Like, where I should pay attention?

>> No.17102801

>>17102679
No. But I also have positions in lithium producers and "Chinese Tesla" NIO. Electric cars are about to become mainstream in the next couple decades. What people often overlook though, is those electric cars are all gonna need batteries. LITHIUM batteries. Invest in lithium mining companies, and all the other rare earth minerals needed for EVs. Same with Tesla. Should've gotten into it at ground floor. Anyone even halfway paying attention should know-- all the movies have been predictive programming it for decades-- all EV vehicles is the future. Sucks I didn't have any money a decade or so ago or i'd definitely be heavy into TSLA right about now.

The best investment tip I can give you is, invest for 10-20 years from now, not for today. But i'm also novice as fuck, still learning myself so take it with a grain of salt.

What other minerals are needed for EVs that you would recommend looking into?

Thanks anon you made my day
I used the brexit to buy lots of eurostocks at -5% :^)
Also bought Panasonic some days ago, its linked to tesla but i hope it'll stay at +10%, looking good right now but i think about selling

Google it, bro. If I spoonfeed you your knowledge won't be complete, a really bad position to be in with your money. Research it, find out what the rems are, where they're located and which companies produce them. That way, if civil war kicks off in "country I just researched" you know whether or not to move your money.

I can only show you the door. It is you who has to walk through it.

Im studying electrical engineering and made a presentation about li ion batterys
>What other minerals are needed for EVs that you would recommend looking into?
There are many different concepts right now, lots of research goes into the stuff
The mainstream batterys right now use manganese and cobalt, but there is no shure bet it will stay that way in the future
There are concepts that use silicon with very high energetic density but these are experimental and break down too fast atm, also silicon is used in many other applications - the electromobility boom wont make much of a difference
Also think about possible non lithium energy storage solutions that might come up in the future
I for myself invested in sma at 25 euros, it peaked at 40 a week or so ago but sadly i didn't sell
Its at 33 right now and even if boomer analysts say its only worth 25 i don't really believe them
They are world leader for solar inverter solutions, so i invested indirectly into private solar panels

Inverters already run at 98%+
Its physically impossible to get much better, its just about more users, and those will come, the only risk is fusion energy really but i doubt this will be cost efficient in the next 20 years as reactors need to pay off
