Boomer Incarnate admits Bitcoin may be scarce. He's finally, slowly, but surely coming around to it. Do you think Max Keiser invited him to dinner and explained it in terms even he could wrap his closed mind around?

he would have doubled all his money for his founders, company, and investors in his company, if he just put it diversified under some big alt cap like zcoin, zcash, or dash, or likecoin which went 2x in just a week

Just listened to it, he's not actually giving any ground.

The ground he does give is very subtle.

This is the guy who has been saying for years that Bitcoin is not scarce because of how it's just code that anyone can copy. He has started to understand that each cryptocurrency is (as a function of their respective scarcities at least) completely separate, like a completely separate metal e.g. gold/silver. He probably still doesn't understand the actual technical definitions between different different ones or what proof-of-work versus other systems are, but at least he is coming around to the fact that the scarcity of Bitcoin itself is not dependent on any other cryptocurrency, regardless of how many get created.

He then goes on to talk about how Bitcoin still doesn't have any value, but note that he again gives up some subtle ground. Instead of just talking about "intrinsic value" or physical atoms he says that it's worthless because it "has no use", it "can't be used for anything". It just feels like he's so close

For me that was one of the things that clicked just as I was getting into crypto after months of dabbling. A digital item that can't be copied and pasted etc

Schiiff understands the cryptographic definitions of scarcity, in the same way maths define what Au is. He cannot be talked down from the insecurity that everyone will just run their own bitcoin ledger of account and that such heterogeneity detracts value from the principal thing. That bitcoin is just fashion. This could be true.

The industrial use of tokens for eliminating counter party risk isn't as valuable as the metals industry consumes. Schiff would concede that .0000001% of that market is non-zero. Tokens consume DC to produce: heat and rare tokens. You might as well be trying to symbolically tokenize the waste heat to realize shareholder value.? What utility!

The value of a digital good tends towards zero,
that's a good thing but the jew in schiff subconsciously fears efficient markets.

the day schiff advocates btc is the day i literally sell everything. thank god we're not quite there yet, there may still be room for growth

kek
not only is your post based, but it also reminds me of a user comment on ZH to a Schiff article.
ZHanon wrote that the day Peter Schiff proclaims "everything is fine" is going to be the day ZHanon will head to the bunker.

>> No.17053650

just because something is scarce doesnt make it valuable or "money" you fucking idiot. Schiff will never someday reverse on bitcoin because he is spot on in all of his asessments of crypto and money. The only thing that is money and will remain so is gold and silver. Unless you get giant monopolized corporations to get together and make one like libra was going to be. Libra might have worked because it was going to be backed by something, FACEBOOK. Bitcoin used to be backed by scarcity (when it was the only one) and silk road. Now there are countless darknet drug markets and thousands of cryptos which are better and worse than bitcoins blockchain technology. Just because bitcoin made money in the past doesn't mean it will continue to do so in the future. BITCOIN IS NOT MONEY IT NEVER WILL BE STOP SAYING THIS RETARDED LOW IQ BULLSHIT.
