haven't gotten to play it yet because i'm a wagie, but the graphics give it an entirely different look. It basically looks like heroes of the storm (which I personally think looks like shit).

that being said, new dumb graphics isn't that big of a deal, but I think it's getting such a low rating because people were still playing the ORIGINAL warcraft3 and now that game is basically dead because Reforged will take over the player base - that's my understanding. So it's killing Warcraft3 off for an uglier, less fun version for Blizzard to kick this dead horse one final time for a little extra cash.

I'm a long time wc3 player, or at least was and pre-ordered in December. Ever since, I was playing wc3 classic as it's included. I finally got to try reforged last night, not a fan so far, people need to relaunch classic custom maps that are still available and played widely on wc3 classic.

blizzard fucked up warcraft 3 custom games. even if you install the original game, a lot of them are broken because they need to compatible with reforged.
MOBAs (the original dota!), tower defense/war games, etc. a lot of entire GENRES grew out of warcraft 3 custom games.
now blizzard ruined the scene and no one knows if they'll even be able to fix it if they keep this reforged compatiblity, because clearly they can't match every nuance with the old software.
most of the games haven't been updated for years so next to nil chance that the creators will refresh them to work on reforged.
