What credit cards does /biz/ use? Why do you use those specific cards? Rewards, points, cashback, building credit? What cards would you recommend?

These are my principles:
1) Always pay off the full statement balance at the end of every month
2) Only use credit cards with no annual fee
3) Only use cash-back credit cards (no airline miles bullshit)

These are my cards:
Fidelity Rewards
>2% cash back on everything
US Bank Cash+
>5% cash back on my cell phone bill
>5% cash back on my internet bill
American Express Blue Cash Everyday
>3% cash back on groceries
Chase AARP
>3% cash back at gas stations
>3% cash back at restaurants
Capital One Quicksilver
>free foreign transactions
>only pays 1.5% cash back, so I only use it when I'm travelling

I get a discount of between 2% and 5% on every dollar I spend besides rent and taxes (and the 1.5% cash back I get when I travel internationally). No annual fees whatsoever. Feels good man.

None, I think it's stupid to use money I never owned in the first place.

I use a platinum Amex cause it’s the only flex I can afford. I buy a lot of flights and like using the lounges at airports. The only card I currently use and have.

I have this too, but the minimum redemption threshold ($2500) for the 2% is too high.
I got the Citi card recently, and plan on using that instead.

0% APR balance transfer checks, with 3-5% initial fees depending on the card, with 12-18 month term date

I used the Citi at first but they kept throwing fraud alerts on my purchases and I'd have to call them to unfreeze the card and after it happened three or four times I gave up and got the Fidelity card

also I believe the minimum redemption is 2500 points which is $25.00 -- not $2,500

I was the same way, until I realized that it's essentially a monthly interest free loan, with the lender giving you back some of the principal (eg 2% cashback).
Unless you're a total brainlet with no impulse control, it's foolish to not use it, especially for necessities.
Pay each statement balance off in full before it's due.
Collect your rewards.

as a follow-up on this, I complained to the CFPB about Citi closing my account for suspected fraud so many times (and insinuated that it was because I was always paying off my balance and therefore they were trying to get rid of me as an unprofitable customer), and I got Citi to send me an apology letter with a $50 check enclosed.
