16967819 No.16967819 [Reply] [Original]

A few hours ago Ripple CEO mentioned he’s planning on taking the company public some time in 2020.
Some people think this’ll make XRP go up, some people think it’ll crash.
I’m personally feeling pretty bullish about XRP, It’s at a low for the week right now so I just got myself a bigger stack right now.

What do you guys think?

I think I bought this shit at a dollar in 2017 thinking it was a good idea, and it hasn't even came close since then.

CASH GRAB

You dummies - what happens when a company goes public? People exchange money for equity. Now the company has more more cash. What do they need more cash for? Is the question you should be asking.

Please explain how XRP meets the definition of "common enterprise." The price of XRP is not intrinsically tied with Ripple as a company -- it doesn't represent equity in said company. The adoption of the coin would drive the price and Ripple could go bankrupt and fade away without tanking the price.

A case can be made that the commodity has been acting in the way a security would by providing funding to the company through the coinholders, but it still doesn't represent equity in the company itself. Those tokens were originally given away for free as a commodity well before a market price was established for it. The company selling those tokens into a market that arose independent of the conpany out of the commodity having been given away for free does not change the nature of the asset.

It isn't a security, and won't be ruled as such.

for all you brain fucked mongoloids, BG announcing he’d go public with ripple is the absolute most non-security-ish thing he could possibly do. that lawsuit which is ridiculous to begin with will be thrown out immediately once ripple went public, if not sooner, but likely just then. you faggots need to work on your comprehension skills if you still can’t fathom what’s been happening with ripple and xrp. you’re all gonna get dry fucked hard very very soon. this board has been telling you about what’s gonna happen for months and the closer we’re getting to the deadline the more obvious it’s getting. quite frankly you faggots don’t even deserve to profit from this. go jerk off to sergey, retards.

Further evidence we have a winner. Xrp is full of blithering retards that irrationally hate Ripple, and will jump on any news to bash them, even if the news is ultimately positive.

There is people literally frothing at the mouth on Twitter, that can't wait to bash Ripple. Hell even Shane Ellis himself hates Ripple, he's too smart for his own good. What a moron. Idiot. Fools. They can't see what's happening before them is a repeat of the dotcom boom.

Math is tough, it’s ok. An easy way to do multiplication, especially with something as round as 10 or even 100, is just to take away the zero(s) of the 10, 100, 1,000 etc etc, and add them to the other number. In this case, 100bil total supply times 10 is 1 trillion.
