Hello denizens of biz. I am a patent agent, and I have been going down the rabbit hole on various corona virus patents, and I think I may have figured out how to profit here in the process of discovering a weird ass conspiracy. Follow me if you will.

Timeline:

>July 2015, two patent applications are filed by the Pirbright Institute. They claim novel strains of coronavirus they which can be used to create vaccines for respiratory disease like bronchitis. The patent specifically mentions utilizing the vaccine for livestock. Please note; neither of these patents are publicly available at this time, so the only people who will know of it are the folks at Pirbright, their investors, and the folks at the USPTO.
>August of 2017, one of the applications is published. Highly unusual for it to take two years for a patent application to be published, but I assume when you're dealing with diseases it has to go through security review or something. Point is, this is the date at which the Chinese if they were looking to steal IP would be able to see the patent application. You can find the granted version of this patent here; https://patents.google.com/patent/US10130701B2

>January 2018, the BSL-4 biolab in Wuhan designed to study among other things SARS (a respiratory disease) opens up about 20 miles from the Seafood Market where the Chinese govt is saying the outbreak started.
>November 2019, Pirbright Institute's first patent on Coronavirus gets granted.
>Also November 2019, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation invests $5m into the Pirbright Institute to fund the development of Pirbright's 'Livestock Antibody Hub'. Please note the names of the scientists running this project include Erica Bickerton, who is also listed as an inventor on the patent application. >Also around November 2019 (exact date unclear) John Hopkins simulates an outbreak of Coronavirus in which they project it could kill 65 million people in 18 months. It is sponsored by, wait for it, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Source; http://www.centerforhealthsecurity.org/event201/
>Early January 2020, Coronavirus outbreak begins in Wuhan.
>January 22nd 2020, initial stories about Coronavirus outbreak begin leaking from China.
>12:01 AM this morning the Pirbright Institute patent applications get re-opened, and are listed again as active.
>4 hours ago, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded Biotech Startup Moderna announces it is working with the National Institute of Health to develop an experimental vaccine for the Coronavirus strain coming from Wuhan. What I Think Happened
>Pirbright Institute figures out you can use Coronavirus to create a vaccine for livestock to prevent them from getting respiratory diseases
>Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funds their efforts to research further
>Greedy Chinese in Wuhan try to reverse engineer it
>Somehow end up fucking it up, make it communicable from animals to humans
>It leaks to a nearby seafood/exotic food market because it's a shitty Chinese lab
>The Chinks fucked it up so bad that now when it transfers from animals to humans it somehow ends up causing respiratory illnesses instead of preventing them
>Initial Pirbright patent applications get re-opened just this morning, less than 24 hours after the stories break about the virus because they know exactly what the fuck is going on and how to stop it
>B&M Foundation funded start up Moderna announces it's developing a Coronavirus vaccine
>Invest in Moderna as they will probably get the best access to all of Pirbright's data, and a possible license to their patents, which I would bet my left testicle includes a way to fix the Chinese fuckup

Moderna from a TA pov looks decent, support at 21 and strong trend this year since 10.

Is there options on this thing?

This is an interesting theory. I never really thought about the possibility of a human engineered virus created by simply being fucking morons, but it makes a lot of sense. Highly underrated thread.
