don't, i feel like there's a high likelihood the hype train is pricing a great earnings in already, right now. even if the ER is good it will still probably drop. it would have to be fucking insanely stellars and blow away the already high expectations for it to go up, the risk/reward sucks.

much safer and higher probability to take your profits before ER then get back in after the drop. AMD is a great company right now though, even if it does drop it should ultimately continue reaching new highs in the long term if that's how you roll. it's such a perfect stock, for both daytrading AND long term.

50% is an excellent trade. Don't take it for granted. I kinda think instant success is one of the worst scenarios when you start trading. It gives you bad habits and poor ideas and risk management. I;m biased in this position as I run up my portfolio by 120% in my first month. I didn't understand this wasn't a normal thing. For the following year I did knife catch after knife catch trying the same shit that got me that 120%. Portfolio was way up, way down, way up, way down, ultimately losing completely to the index.

There’s probably an obvious answer to this but with 0 commission what’s to stop someone from buying and immediately placing a trailing limit at like .1% to ensure you never lose any money? That's allowed and there's no roadblocks to prevent it so long as you have 25k in your account and are exempt from the pattern day trader rule (assuming you're american). In practice, this isn't going to be an effective strategy as prices move in a general range even when they're essentially flat for the day. It'll knock you out immediately on most trades. The tightest stop loss you should use is about 1% and that's only if you've decided to sell anyway and are just hovering over the button waiting for the spread to possibly move in your favor before end of day.

Basically no true direct competition, decades ahead in R&D. ICE cars are old news, exacerbated by the green energy wave. Tesla is direct to consumer vs ICE use dealerships. AI and battery technology leagues ahead. Daddy Elon meme power, and endless hordes of full tilt cult members. Weed bubbles failed because they've failed to be profitable. Here in the Canuks, everyone i know still goes to their dealer, because they price rape retail weed prices dramatically. BYND bubble will burst because of the thin business moat, massive food retailers can come in with a better, or super prices product and destroy market share. Whereas with tesla, it takes multi Billions to break into that auto market place. which is why NIO will go bankrupt( that said, feel free to swing trade its equity until you're green in the face). Further, Telsa profits off the charging stations, eventually insurance, and solar and battery operations have them looking at having an energy/utility segment to the business.

On the news Yanzhong Huang of Council on Foreign Relations, director, global health studies, says it is "anything but under control" , "Spreading rapidly", "Gaining virulence"... Other China vloggers having contacts in China suggest the numbers are jumping because officials were trying to suppress statistics gathering for several weeks and with an estimated two week incubation period, could see massive increase in cases within days. With current epidemic expanding its profile, now in 5 countries, including the two largest world economies, my advice is a mask, yes, wash your hands, and yes, make sure you have food, water, and the VIX.

ONTX, honestly nobody can can say how high the price will climb or what will happen through out the year. However recent stock action is not based on anything wrong with the company itself. No blown earning report, no bad trial data. In fact the recent news (investor report) is good. So the recent action is just the fat cat investor groups doing everything they can to load up as many shares cheaply as they can buy. Before the good things the company is doing comes to light. And sends the stock price up. Don't be afraid. Be glad. Use the games to your advantage. Bagging cheap shares is always a plus if the outcome is a fat green bag of cash. Which if you read the report seems like it will. Also those investor groups, they don't just dump millions of dollars into something unless they know they're gonna make a shit load of profit.

Yes, because the only difference is TSLA hasn't had a correction so neither of you can pretend that you were right about it and that you wouldn't have made 200% if you followed the advice of the "pumpers" here, who are mostly just normal people discussing a stock they like only to be interrupted by a bunch of autists claiming that people they disagree with are shills trying to trick people into bag holding.

That isn't the conversation we're having. At no point did I reference whatever new target you're going to spend weeks jerking off about because you used your 1337 skills to find someone's stockwits account. The person you're defending in your reply specifically referenced large volume stocks when we had this conversation yesterday.

You don't give a fuck about the stock itself or how large it is, that's irrelevant to your method. You wait for a popular stock here to drop and then wag your finger at the people you view as pumping it regardless of if it was in good faith. Anything that does well, like TSLA gets ignored by your confirmation bias. You're not posting your own trades, you're just trying to find an excuse to pretend that you were right. Honestly, it's so fucking retarded and I just wish you faggots would stop. It's like reading the results of a sporting match and saying that you called it without any evidence supporting it.

the main appeal of GALT is the sheer value of the intellectual property, combined with the new management being in a better position to actually realize that potential

>overexpression of galectin-3 has been implicated in a breathtakingly wide variety of diseases (NASH cirrhosis, acute and chronic inflammation, allergic disorders, asthma, dermatitis, autoimmune disease, inflammatory and degenerative arthritis, immune-mediated neurological disease, fibrosis of multiple organs (including but not limited to liver, lung, kidney, pancreas, and heart), inflammatory bowel disease, atherosclerosis, heart failure, ocular inflammatory disease, a large variety of cancers)
>GALT has a unique competitive position in the area of galectin-3 inhibition, with competition being very few, early stage, and having flaws of their own (such as delivery issues with Galecto)
>GALT's drug has shown unique promise in preventing end stage complications of cirrhosis in compensated NASH cirrhosis patients (cirrhotic NASH patients account for the overwhelming majority of clinical costs)
>GALT's previous failures can be attributed to mismanagement and flawed trial designs
>The previous management is gone and the new management includes the backing of a billionaire activist investor who is involved in a personal level in the company's success and owns significant equity in it (Richard Uihlein)
>the adaptive trial they're preparing in compensated cirrhotic NASH is well-designed and will give them many opportunities to prove the efficacy of their drug, and is being conducted in collaboration with renowned KOLs in the area and a leading CRO

The greater topic, and what I was mocking in the first place, is a continuation of a previous conversation we had here yesterday which was about popular meme stocks in general, not penny stocks. I don't think you should ignore that context just to defend some other person here.
>the stocktwits users that were being discussed are pennystock pumpers
I don't care if people have Stocktwits accounts. If they're acting in good faith, I have no issue with enthusiastic posters. What I am annoyed by is when people who don't publicly state their trades and defend their positions who wait for a popular stock here to fall and then sling a bunch of mud for no reason other than ego.
>Why would you defend scammers?
What evidence do you have to support that? You're not trying to separate out people acting in good faith. It's only scamming if they're pumping a stock you don't like, otherwise you wouldn't care.
>is this just about Tesla?
Tesla is just the best example of a stock disliked by a core group of people who keep witch hunting and finger wagging. It's one small correction away from the group pretending they were right about it despite it nearly tripling since last spring when it was pumped here. It's a good example that you can cost people money by crying wolf about "pumpers and scammers", yet you won't care if that happens providing you can armchair trade and get your (((yous))).

>“haha told you so! Sugar water is dead!”
That would just be banter. That's different than calling someone a shill and talking as much shit as possible despite you not having the other side of that trade so what you thought about what was going to happen before the dump is worthless.
>AMRN pumpers, and was warning people that nothing is guaranteed, and telling others not to FOMO in.
So you still managed to talk people out of considering a profitable trade even when you were on the right side?
>You’re being ridiculous. You’re defending the scammers
You've still yet to produce evidence they they're scamming. I've been called a scammer here before when discussing a stock with a very large market cap, which is absurd because I wouldn't make money even if every single person reading the thread bought it.

Funny, I haven't bought GALT or any of the pharma stocks despite all the pumping. It's almost like I have the ability to decide what stocks are right for me regardless of what other people think of them. I would rather go to a thread where people talked about what stocks they own and think are underrated than to come here and see a bunch of dickless idiots shitposting about how they thought a stock was going to go down before it did and now it confirms that anyone speaking positively of it before is a scammer. This further reduces the amount of good ideas found here because it's creating needless conflict and no one wants to share their idea with people that they hate.

The current outbreak of viral pneumonia in the city of Wuhan, China, was caused by a novel coronavirus designated 2019-nCoV by the World Health Organization, as determined by sequencing the viral RNA genome. Many initial patients were exposed to wildlife animals at the Huanan seafood wholesale market, where poultry, snake, bats, and other farm animals were also sold. To determine possible virus reservoir, we have carried out comprehensive sequence analysis and comparison in conjunction with relative synonymous codon usage (RSCU) bias among different animal species based on the 2019-nCoV sequence. Results obtained from our analyses suggest that the 2019-nCoV appears to be a recombinant virus between the bat coronavirus and an origin-unknown coronavirus. The recombination occurred within the viral spike glycoprotein, which recognizes cell surface receptor. Additionally, our findings suggest that snake is the most probable wildlife animal reservoir for the 2019-nCoV based on its RSCU bias close to snake compared to other animals. Taken together, our results suggest that homologous recombination within the spike glycoprotein may contribute to the 2019-nCoV cross-species transmission from snake to humans.

My only trade since opening the account was to reinvest some dividends, and I only actually look at it a few times a year.
