Would also like to point out the fact that it's not necessary for everyone on Twetch to make money directly from Twetch for it to be valuable; it will in any case act as a way of enjoying the most high-quality and curated content possible.

Jack Dorsey asked Elon Musk not long ago what was necessary to improve Twitter, and Musk replied that there had to be a way to separate out trolls and armies of bots; having to pay small amounts of money both to post content and to like and branch solves this problem perfectly; in fact, this mechanism is what solves the Byzantine Generals problem through Nakamoto consensus in Bitcoin to begin with, and also why spamming the network doesn't work, since miners are more than happy to take the money you need to pay to spam.

>> No.16933863

>>16933854
you definitely have to wade through a lot less shit on twetch than twitter. twitter is full with bots and morons. users tend to keep it civil when they have to pay and their messages get stored on the blockchain forever.

About Money Button
Money Button is like the Facebook Like Button, but with money instead of likes. It's easy for consumers to make and receive payments with Money Button just by swiping the button. And it's easy for developers to install Money Button onto websites and apps by pasting a short snippet of code.

Features
Money Button is the simplest payment system ever created. It is also the most advanced.

Money Button is simple because people can use it with the least amount of effort possible. We take great care in removing every barrier to making and receiving payments and to using the button inside of websites and applications.

Money Button is advanced because users have access to multiple outputs, blockchain data, smart contracts, currency conversion, and a REST API and an OAuth API. It is important to us that simplicity does not subtract from utility.

Our mission is to make every advanced feature of Bitcoin accessible to a global audience while simultaneously having the most intuitive and pleasing user experience. We want everyone in the world to be able to benefit from Bitcoin.

How Money Button Works

Money Button is a client-side Bitcoin wallet in an iframe.

Money Button is fully non-custodial, meaning our company does not see and cannot access the user's money. The way this works is that a master key is generated in the user's web browser and is encrypted with a hash of the user's password that is never sent to our server. The encrypted master key is backed up to our server making it possible to log in from multiple devices. A different hash of the user's password is used for log in, ensuring that our server cannot decrypt the user's keys.

Money Button has a javascript API to interface with the button directly as well as a REST API and an OAuth API for advanced features. For a complete description of Money Button's capabilities for developers, please see our documentation.

Money Button uses Bitcoin SV (BSV). We often shorten this to "Bitcoin" because it is the closest blockchain to the original Bitcoin protocol.

History
Money Button started in 2015 as a social network similar to reddit but where votes are Bitcoin micropayments. After a long struggle to make Lightning Network user-friendly, we eventually abandoned Lightning Network and switched to Bitcoin Cash (BCH). We launched our social network, Yours, in August of 2017, less than one month into the existence of Bitcoin Cash (BCH). When Bitcoin Cash (BCH) changed the protocol in late 2018, we stuck with Bitcoin SV (BSV).

Yours was based on the idea of a "money button" which was a button that could send micropayments to other users. The button was used for tipping, voting, commenting, purchasing content, and other features inside of the application.

One of the most common feature requests for Yours was a Wordpress integration. People wanted the ability to incorporate micropayments inside of their blog or other third party applications. It became clear that this was a huge opportunity, so we extracted the "money button" from Yours and created Money Button.

lol. The good thing is those people will be filtered down fast though as people won't waste 5cents to like his post. If it had been on twitter he would probably get 10k likes in a matter of hours because likes are free. That's the beauty of Twetch

Also, it costs 2 cents to post things, and you can instantly deposit to Money Button (it's just a wallet in your browser). You could have no more than 50 cents in there at any time if you're really skeptical, and be able to post 25 times, then add another 50 cents when you've spent those (unless you've not only curated content, but also posted content other people enjoy and like and discuss, in which case you'll get money in return).
