Two things are certain about the stock market and the US economy, It goes up and it goes down and it never stops. What goes up must come down, Either by a little or a lot. Last time in history the usa went 10 years straight until a major economic collapse was in the 1930's with the great depression. As we pass the 10 year mark since the recovery of the 08 recession that happened in 2010, It is the first time in history of the economy going 10+ years without a major recession. This means this is completely unique and special, It has never happened before. this is a warning in and of itself. If it took 10 years for the great depression to hit and devastation took place, Imagine what will happen if we go 12-13 years before everything crashes. Our economy is about to face something far worse than the great depression. Civil war and riots will ensue.

We have safeguards and such in place nowadays to protect us from the market crashing down, so I do think we wont be seeing anything in the next 5 years atleast.

As long as there is mountains of debt that no one can pay off then we are never safe. if it does go down it goes down with everyone. I don't think it will be the end of the usa, but it will be a turning point to institute a new currency or system that the government is planning which is what I think crypto is for.
