I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as YOUR Bitcoin, is in fact, Ledger's Bitcoin, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Ledger's profit. Ledger is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another way to trick you out of your Bitcoin made possible by the chink made components, shell utilities and vital system components compromising your full OS and keys.

Many computer users run a modified version of a paper wallet system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of Ledger which is widely used today is often called "Ledger Live", and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the BSV or any altcoin shitcoin, developed by Ledger to steal your funds.

There really is a Bitcoin wallet, and these people are not using it, but it is just a part of the system they've fell victim to. Ledger is the vector: the weak point in the system that allocates the users resources to the other party. The wallet is an essential part of an operating scam, but useless empty; it can only function in the context of you trusting Ledger. Ledger is normally used in combination with an IQ sub 90: the whole system is basically BSV with different name added, or LedgerCoin (your Bitcoin is now theirs). All the so-called "Ledger" wallets are really distributions of a huge scam perpetrated by Ledger and marketing companies selling you the USB stick.

Funny seeing this today. I hadn't touched my ledger nano S in over a year until last night. I tried to access through MEW using my ledger and it kept failing. I was running old 1.2.x firmware on my ledger.

I updated my ledger to 1.6 and also updated the ledger live app. After doing that all my coins/tokens were accessible through ledger live.

Ledger live is pretty nice and it's simple.

I have to say i was a bit nervous for a bit. These people having problems must have sent coins to a different mew address not tied to the ledger.

Hello Ledger shill, I’ve been in crypto since the /g/ days, since the beginning. Here’s something right from Ledger’s website.
>”A hardware wallet is a cryptocurrency wallet which stores the user's private keys (critical piece of information used to authorise outgoing transactions on the blockchain network) in a secure hardware device. The main principle behind hardware wallets is to provide full isolation between the private keys and your easy-to-hack computer or smartphone.”
>stores the user's private keys

Guess what happens when your little USB fucks up, mongoloid? That’s right, if you haven’t backed up your keys (which would make your glorified USB nucrypto pacifier pointless anyway) then you’ve lost your funds forever. Hardware wallets are entirely pointless. Suck 10 dicks you stupid cunt.

If you do move some, do your research so you know exactly what the process is, and before you send the whole shebang to your second wallet, send a fraction of a link back and forth between the exchange so you get an idea of how it works. Hardware wallets aren’t entirely pointless. They are essentially a hybrid between a hot and cold wallet. They allow you to send transactions without exposing your private keys to potential key loggers. A paper wallet is more secure, right up until the moment you send anything from that particular wallet, then a hardware wallet in the same situation is more secure.
