Eth is moving the current chain to PoS in 2021. The new plan needs only stateless eth1 blocks (but with miners having full state) and working beacon chain. It's a very achievable goal.

A "STO network" is the same bullshit as with "supply chain blockchains", "gaming blockchain" or whatever. No, there's just ethereum for everything.
