We are now at Amazon in the early 2000s. Literally everyone knows about BTC but no one knows about Ethereum at all. You pass by 100 people and maybe 1 knows about it.

Buy and hold ETH, hold it for a decade, and you will not regret it.

Or, OR, just buy what ETH needs and you'll hit retirement sooner.

This. There have been many garbage chains (EOS/TRON) that have tried to scale up using shortcuts but at the end of the day they're running off garbage tech. ETH is the only chain researching the proper way to scale. And once it goes live, get ready to take off boys.

No shit. Eth is superior to Bitcoin in literally every way possible. Defi, transaction speed, fees, scaling tech, anonimity tech.

I really don't get the whole BTC is gold meme arguing scarcity is the thing going for bitcoin. You can have a BTC-like scarcity mechanism built on Ethereum and get the same result with lower fees, faster transaction speeds and anonymity. Why should everyone pretend BTC is digital gold when you can create superior digital gold on Ethereum? I'll tell you why it's because BTC is nothing but greater fool theory at work.

Eth really is the best. No other smart contract platform has people buidling on it. The race was over before it began.

That being said ETH is overvalued as fuck. Everyone holding it is waiting for a greater fool to dump. For people actually using the Eth network they buy $10 worth of Eth that goes right back on the fucking market as soon as they're done with it. You could argue scarcity because people will lock up ETH in compound etc. but I don't think that negates the idea that it's only this expensive because of rent seekers. Then again people are retarded so maybe it will hit 100k in ten years.

The more people using ETH => More buying pressure because people need gas or they need ETH to take out loans or they need ETH for X. It's not people buying ETH simply waiting for some other fool to come buy it from them at a higher price. It's organic need for the currency to make use of all it's features.

>> No.16828968

>>16828931
You're exactly the kind of person that I'm describing: a rent seeker who's bank on the price going up.

There is no buying pressure from people using Eth as gas. It goes immediately back on the market when it's used. Without a burn mechanism gas alone is not going to give you a moon mission. Eth is overvalued as fuck

i say this as some who's made multile eth txs per day for the last 6 months

ETH devs are literally resorting to copying Cardano tech. their research is to see what cardano scientsts are working on and publishing on and then trying to implement a lesser more slapdash version of that tech into eth 2's spec. you reddit faggots are so fucking tech illiterate it hurts and eth is such a mess that you coping bagholders are going to get fucked right in your boi pussies

He thinks because someone wants the price to go up theyre a rent seeker. While ignoring the legitimate reasons for why the price should go up that aren't based on just hoping for someone else to buy it from you at higher price because they think they can sell it at a higher price later (ad infinitum)

People that expect a return from doing nothing. "Eth will go up because people will need it so I'll buy as much as possible and sell it to them later"

Eth works at any price. It's a commodity that goes right back on the market after you use it.
