Yes, but just skip Keynes and read Hayek

>> No.16819273

If you're a beginner, I assume you know nothing about economics. Economics has changed a lot since Hayek and Keynes. Read a textbook, and once you understand the basics you can move on to the stuff that has historical significance.

>Game theory
>Market design
>Matching theory
>Prospect theory
All of which were mostly developed after Keynes and Hayek.

Economics has gotten way better at inferring causation from statistical data. The methods are better and you can't take statistical analyses done by classical economists seriously. Read contemporary stuff, then go back to the classics.

>Hayek
Hayek is pure delusion, market is made of people, people needs cannot be explained as "let the market decide"
if market decide, people die on the street
Keynes at least got a very valid point when he says that government should step in and help creating jobs for all the unemployed
btw their theory are both useless with the current monetary system, central banks decide for everyone

That's the same as saying all scientific publications and the entire body of contemporary economics journals are shit... lmao, good luck with your life.

Sorry anon, those questions aren't interesting to me, but good luck googling the answer.

Thanks. I tried reading the Communist Manifesto and got ten percent of it, but I was clueless on the rest. I walked away thinking that the Bourgiouse were a necessary force for change.

>imagine still thinking any economist have actually any idea of what they are doing
economics has been trial and error since the beginning and the process is not finished yet, nobody has actually any idea how shit works, the guys at Renaissance Technologies might be the only ones that could have a clue, and again they are just reacting to how the system works, they have no idea how to design one that could be optimal, most likely

Hayek - Road To Serfdom is a good introduction for beginners, but you should only read it if you are okay being an outcast in this fake and gay, centrally planned Jewish system. Then again, you're on here.
