Why? Seems like they're concerned about their own well-being. They're a selfish generation and the only issue here is younger pussy socialist generations that want to "share the wealth". Boomers are based.

>> No.16810595

Ehh. My father started working at 14 and retired at 50. My mother at 16 or something and retired at 53. I didn't finish university until I was 22 and I worked retail for 5 years on top of that which wasn't exactly lucrative. They bought a house at 18. I bought one at 30. I intend to retire at 60 just based on the fact I was in education for 8 years more than him.

They are incredibly entitled though. My mother in particular has shit for brains and wastes most of her money while whining about how she deserves a little luxury. Like half the time she is just getting ripped off. My father was pretty proud of the fact that he wouldn't get out of bed for less than $600 a day and acted bemused at the fact I was cleaning offices and doing bar work for $7.50 an hour to pay for my education. Seemed to think it was just a failure to get up early enough or have a firm enough handshake. Typical get up early, get a haircut, dress smart, look him in the eye, shake his hand shit.

Honestly though the older I get the more I find things are like that. Don't have time to accommodate the tiresome quirks of individuals looking to self actualise in the workplace, just people who are grateful to have a job who'll do whatever they are told and outwardly display simple signs that they aren't a complete fucking retard like ... being dressed, being on time and making eye contact.

10% of my paycheck goes to my 401k every week. And my workplace gives company stock every year for retirement, 8% of my yearly pay.

I invest in some large cap stocks, ETFs, and REITs. The REITs and some of the stocks pay dividends.

I've got $150k in regular investments. And $80k in crypto.

70/20/10/10 VTSAX/VTIAX/VBR/VWO more or less across my 401k HSA and Roth IRA. Then like 70/20/10 LINK/ETH/BTC

Capture the 401k match->Max the HSA->Max the Roth IRA->basically split the rest between crypto and additional 401k contributions

Here's a better way. Spend $500, study, and get your real estate license. Easy peasy.
Now buy a duplex, live in one side, and rent out the other. Wow. Pays for most of your living expenses!
Live there a year and sell real estate with your license!
Buy another, do the same thing, and rent out your old place.
WOW!

Irrelevant. The money is still being taken from the younger generations, who will never benefit due to the system going bankrupt in ~15 years.
