Acronis Notary costs $99 for the whole year and comes with a cloud backup solution, HDD image creation, and all the validations are free. That's right. Free. Because 99% of people who buy the cloud backup solution are not using notary services in the first place and they're subsidizing the transactions of those who do need the service.

Why would any company choose V-ID over Acronis is beyond me. Not only is it cheaper, but Acronis also works with every Fortune 1000 company.

1. It's not "Airbus" but "Airbus Netherlands BV". It's merely a rebrand when they got bought out, originally called Dutch Space. Chances are they met with them in person. Airbus headquarters uses Acronis. Middle of pic related, also listed on the official Acronis website.
2. AmSpec was through their friendship with LTO and they met at a convention. AmSpec is a legitimate client.

In order to validate with V-ID, once the consumer app is out sometime in 2020, all you have to do is go on Coinbase and buy yourself some ETH, create an account on KuCoin, send the ETH to your KuCoin account, move the ETH into your trading wallet, buy a handful of VIDT, remove the VIDT from your trading wallet to your main account, transfer the VIDT to a third-party wallet you have created, download the V-ID consumer app from the iTunes App Store, send the VIDT to your V-ID wallet, then upload the hash of your document and make the necessary payment. It costs roughly 2 to 5 cents per batched validation every 60 to 70 minutes. Comes out to roughly $12 a month if all you do is validate 24/7 365 (More like $4 if 8 hours a day, no weekends off). Over 5 million users. I would wager not even 1% of computer users want to validate on the blockchain. Corporations also have TrueImage installed on every workstation. Not to notarize, obviously, but for backup and restore. It costs Acronis nothing to pay the network fees, so other users are subsidizing the power users. There's also have a white labeling solution, so you could start your own business using Acronis tools, in which case as a reseller you would only submit the batches at the end of the day.

Sort of like how Gmail came about initially. Why do they offer 5GB for every user? Notary turned out to be successful, they patented it, and included it as a freebie.
