the coins were most likely placed into the trust after being mined. They probably did some math to determine when an appropriate amount of time would be for the coins to be 'available' (as a percentage of total circulating supply)

Realizing that for them to be available to anyone would put the market in danger of manipulation. I'd assume it was something worked out amongst the early devs as a measure of good faith, and self policing.

This is an interesting question because of how the very earliest versions of the bitcoin software worked. The simple answer is, every block he mined (across 50 or so diff machines) had it's own key and each machine had it's own wallet.dat file. There were no HD keys, no seed words, just a different private key for every block he mined, so that's probably like 30k keys to manage across 50 different machines over 2 years. I'm honestly not sure what the actual logistics of this would look like, but I'm pretty confident that people are getting an entirely wrong idea of how key management used to work with those very early clients. Back then it was advised to never try to run your wallet.dat on two different machines, and plenty of people lost coin early on this way.

Also, the point of the trust isnt to block CSW's access to the coins. For all we know, he could have had backups this whole time. But the point is, he would be breaking the agreements of the trust by spending them.

I also imagine that if he did have access to them this whole time that he would also have a dead man's switch of some kind. So, he would be dead, but his family would be set once the dust cleared.

Amazing how few people seem to understand this.
>B-B-B-But he might still retain a copy of the keys!!!
Such idiots don't realize that the exact same thing happens all the time in rental agreements which stipulate that no copies of physical keys be made prior to return. The "code is law" people have a massive blindspot that anyone who cares to think for a few minutes can see a mile away lmao

Unfortunately for you, lots of things have been happening in the background. You never understood a single percent of what bitcoin was about. I don't blame you for this, I don't think you're smart enough to understand why I created bitcoin or even the origins of any of the parts or components. You're a great troll. You're also a useful idiot. In separating out the fools you have allowed me to finally manage to take bitcoin to where it needed to be. It was never EGold or any of the other anarchist systems that you wished to create.

Did you forget that I said the protocol was set in stone? No, I don't think you did. But then, you have a habit of taking things out of context, twisting them, outright lying. The problem you seem to not understand is that you haven't stopped anything. The time you figure it out I will have a patent on everything needed to scale blockchains. Then again, you will bitch and complain and say it's not fair. But a public yet but we have it a target of 1,000 patents (in total) this month and the pipeline will take me to 2,500 papers this year.

It is a real shame, well not really, that you're going to have to watch is all you have tried to corrupt falls apart around you this year. Have a nice life Greg, I wonder what rock you're going to crawl under next time ?
