I just found out Tezos is paying staking rewards not from income but from a stack that they hold and pay to holders. Is that right? If so, when are they projected to run out?

Looks like it's BSV shill day so will I get some answers if I post in hindi?

based. also curious about OP since I hold a heavy bag of this useless shitcoin.

>> No.16752154

Bumpin for info.
I saw that the avg staying reward was %6.x but that inflation was around %5 so hopefully it does have a cap or else I don't get the point

No better than HEX. Garbage coin. You missed the chance to sell at the top but if you are still in a profitable position you should sell now.

Anytime you see some random garbage shoot up to top 10 market cap, you know it's time to sell if you bought, or short.

I’d be curious to see your sources aside from /biz/ posts, and to get your understanding of the tokenomics. You sound like a toddler discussing geopolitics

Kek, Nice burden of proof switch
You haven’t given your sources and understanding of the funding
I’m all for debating with examples, but I won’t lose my time spoon feeding someone blurting out opinions built on thin air

Yeah they should do infinite inflation like ETH and 100% POS reward.

Everytime someone says ETH has infinite inflation I filter them. You have no idea what you're talking about. ETH's monetary policy is long term deflationary. Since I'm filtering you don't bother replying.

I mean: are they generating revenue to buy these tokens to pay out, or will they RUN OUT.

Its like mining, you get rewards for baking a block, these come from the supplyyyyyy

Yes, goy. Tezos is broke, all coins are gone.Sell everything now

>> No.16755627

>>16755220
It's not broke vs rich, it's making money vs depleting funds. Is it actually being paid by someone to be used (which they use to buy tokens/mine supply and pay dividends) or is it going to RUN OUT? If it's a finite amount then the staking dividends aren't real they're a temporary marketing campaign.

>> No.16755670

>>16755627
well surely they have to come from somewhere, so who's paying them?

>> No.16756409

>>16755670
That's exactly what I'm asking. Everything I've seen and every dodgey shill points to "no one is paying them, they have a reserve of funds that they give out for fake staking to pump their coin"

No one has been able to point to where any money is going to tezos. Any google search just shows how we can get lonely from staking tezos, not where they get the money to pay you. It looks like a finite fund that will run out and I want someone to show me otherwise.

The rewards come from the PoS protocol you absolute retards. There is no central party handing out XTZ for staking. Holy fuck /biz/ is in a bad place atm

>> No.16756606

You clearly dont have even a basic concept of how consensus algorithms/incentives work. There is no central party. Income is an irrelevant concept. The rules of the protocol state that the validator selected by the weighted RNG generator gets to mint new coins into the block they publish as a reward for validating all the other transaction in the block. Your questions are fundamentally off base and yet your self-certainty so high. Faggot.

>> No.16757303

>>16756508
it's possible you have a point and are expressing it poorly
the "rewards" are inflation.
Nobody is using tezos.
Inflation is dumped on speculators.
As long as nobody is using tezos, it's effectively a ponzi scheme.
If against all odds tezos gets fee income, that becomes the real money stream to validators.
I hope this answers your question.
