Why? Simply because Monero it's the evolution to cash, Bitcoin and all the other coins aren't, thus people aren't even pretending Monero will be the next thing to revolutionize whatever buzzword you want, unlike whatever is the hot pajeet shilled scamcoin or whatever is ETH-next promising to do
However unlike Bitcoin Monero hasn't gotten a network effect as strong, and unlike Bitcoin the fungibility of Monero is enough for the FUD machines to spin up

Don't buy safex, they label the SAFEX scam as a Monero killer, the fact is that SAFEX is a Monero fork, and uses two coins into one blockchain and they are trying to build a marketplace on top of it, but their devs are dumb, safex github has no updates, safex code has many bugs and instead of fixing those bugs they blame exchanges, that's the case of many that deposited safex into livecoin and their deposit got lost.
No one is mining SAFEX and the hashrate is a joke.

A lot of thought has gone into Monero's fee structure. There's a good reason to have fees and any fork would be worse off for removing them. If you think it's something that could pump for a while then I guess that's fine but I'd be waiting in XMR since why else would someone make that scam fork if xmr wasn't pumping?
