I’m all for a good conspiracy theory - I stayed up super late last night reading about this shit and catching my neurons on fire with the possibilities of time travel and satoshi being an AI from another dimension etc.

But this particular thing is unironically fake and gay. Just an attempt at viral marketing by whatever that guy’s name is that someone already posted and I’ve never heard of. Apparently a scam most likely.

As for 21e8 itself I saw some shit about WHOA THE PROBABILITY OF MINING THAT EXACT HASH IS LIKE 1 IN BAJUULUUIAIBHOGN but people were assuming (for some reason) that the 21e8 part of the hash was DELIBERATELY sought out to be mined beforehand, and so whoever did it has just been continuously trying for solely that certain hash.

Just a literal coincidence, sadly. All that happened is idiots saw the combination of 21 (...million bitcoin) and e8 (admittedly interesting unifying physics theory) and fucking jumped to the mile-high conclusion that it was an anomaly and actually means something
