It's either good or bad depending on where the chart you're looking at is (say overbought or oversold conditions) and what the outlook is. High implied volatility doesn't mean anything about the strength of the trend, necessarily.

Also, gex looks like there's decent support, so no dramatic selloff should occur, if my understanding of this is somewhat right. I think it means the big money is decently hedged, or that dips will likely be bought.

ME oil is not irrelevant. And notice that it is in the US, Saudi, Russia, and Iran self interest to keep oil from falling too far.

That said, I think I bought the USOI too soon. When Warren finally announces how bad she did with donations this time around, that could kick energy stocks down again. If she is the nominee though, that would really be a boost to energy stocks. Banning shale fracking would cause the natty to absolutely moon.

After phase 2 results both Jim Czirr and Dick Uihlein said they intended to partner or sell. They hired Boston based Back Bay Life Science Advisors to help. My guess is those initial talks failed as they could not agree on a price.

Last year they initiated a rights offering and Uihlein directly referenced other people's belief they could not go it alone. An indirect shot at negotiations and their lack of money being used against them. Since the rights offering they changed the structure of management by reigning in Czirrs influence, which was too powerful, and also cleaned the share structure to make all their convoluted preferred stock easily convertible to common.

Even the change to an adaptive trial is a change to what big pharma now openly say they want. They've had plenty of time to keep negotiations going and gives and takes to attract a partner or sell. I'm betting it happens and they are narrowing down concessions and finer points.

Test the ichimoku for ways to use it somewhat outside the prescribed traditional method. There's a reason I only use the two main lines with those set to different longer periods. I don't use the kenkan cross over kijun as a buy signal although I may as a sell signal. Typically kenkan cross below kijun happens well after I've already sold anyway.
*translator's note: the english version of kenkan and kijun is conversion line and base line, respectively. Kenkan is the short period one, kijun the longer.

I remember one time we were camped out near Mosul Dam, the guys decided to sneak off to a local Halal Burger Shack. I literally drove an armored vehicle through the restaurant whilst they were ordering, you should have seen the look on their faces.

I’ll test out different ways to use Ichimoku, I have very limited experience with it so far. What I have been using it for so far is, generally, a breakout of the price and lagging span outside of the cloud is a major buy indicator. War would be good for reelection, stupid dumb dumb. Americans have hated Iran since the 70's, and they become very pro-authority. Questioning the president = not supporting the troops, etc.

Even if the prices at the pump go through the roof, I expect it will take a good long while before people get sick of it.

I also don't think this is war yet. Donald will want to delay it until closer to the election, at least until he knows who his opponent is.

If I were all cash right now I would give it the weekend and see how things look on Monday. There is going to be a lot of spasticity on the markets tomorrow as people rearrange their positions, some fear selling in case of war, etc. Over the weekend more news should be out that makes things sound better or worse than they feel at the moment. This is certainly priced in, as well as the black box labeling (think of AMRN). There is a 25% short interest, which may mean a possible short squeeze post approval. However, shorts may know something that retail investors do not. Extended labeling and additional warnings may be the reason as to why shorts aren't covering yet. What certainly is not priced in, is a potential BO by Nestle, as they hold 19% of shares. A pediatric allergy marketing position was also opened up and filled last year.
