That's true, But I plan to barter with my silver coins that I own, not my gold. If I'm going to sell my gold it's going to be at once in one transaction. 50k is a fine increment imo, this is all assuming society collapses. Just protecting my money from inflation.

Risky enough where I don't feel comfortable putting my life savings that I got from my eth gains which is why I choose gold. I don't keep my gold in a bank. It's in my house, under the carpet and in a steel safe filled in with concrete and rebar.

I don't think that they're wrong. Everyone is expecting a recession which means that there will be no recession. There's also no reason for one to happen. I think that the next recession will be a full-blown depression by the end of this decade and will be caused by AI phasing all of us out. Before that, no reason for one because our economy is the exact same one as it was 5 years ago producing the same services in about the same quantities.

>> No.16725693

>>16725667
>There's also no reason for one to happen
umm what? auto loans are in a bubble. education debt in a bubble. stonks ATH, and most companies overvalued in P/E ratios. people cant find jobs paying decent wages to keep up with inflating assets (housing, etc), medical rates going up + more people than ever before are having health issues, etc, etc. but yes theres no reason for a recession.

>> No.16725708

>>16725667
>economy is the exact same one as it was 5 years ago producing the same services in about the same quantities

For that exact reason it makes no sense why stocks have gone up so much since then.

>> No.16725724

>>16725693
this is literally the exact same thing that people kept saying for the past decade, especially in the last 6-7 years where every single year Amazon's P/E was cited as the proof that a recession is coming yet it just kept growing to more abnormal levels. The exact same thing happened to both Tesla and Netflix as well and look at them right now.

my guy, go on any normie site (reddit, etc) or even listen to young people coming out of uni. most are handing out 100-150 resumes and getting 5 calls back/interviews and would be lucky if they land 1 job. population keeps increasing but companies all around are cutting costs to inflate earnings (yes, this is good for now), but eventually it will catch up. you cant have 40% of the population feeding the other 60% on welfare. unemployment #'s are hoaxed and a lie. the only reason we havent gone into a recession (which would be normal market activity) is because of the fed. thats it.

>> No.16725823

>>16725793
on top of this, majority of stocks are owned by investment banks and hedge funds (something like 80% ive read). so the public actually has very little influence on the market. once the hedge funds/IB's start to cash out, its over. even WB understands this is on the sidelines waiting for a good opportunity. the risk/reward with being in the market right now isnt good.

>> No.16725866

>>16725793
doesn't matter, that's not what causes recessions. Youth unemployment in the EU is like 30-40% yet you don't see Europeans line up at the bread queue and that type of unemployment has been like that since 2008 by the way, it never recovered.
As for the USA, the Fed can soak up quite a bit of economic stress before it runs out of ammo again and that's only going to happen if there's something new that they're unprepared for, which is AI. Wait for the masses to finally claim "the era of depressions is over and our alarmism was a huge mistake, we finally have AI to take care of our material needs!" and that's specifically the year that the depression will happen. Until then, we will have the *exact* same economy we have right now, only with slightly better smartphones and slightly better monitors and slightly better CPUs. A new paradigm in the market needs to happen for this structure to fall apart.

the safe is covered by carpet and when you take the cover carpet off after moving the couch there is a steel plate, Once you move the thin steel plate. Do you really think I encased a whole steel safe in concrete with over hundred thousand in gold and silver? lmao, the top is still has the dial and you can still open it. It cannot be removed though because the bottom of it is encased in concrete and surrounds it.

I just want people to store their own metals instead of giving them to the banks. with my design you'll need to have a tig welder for the rebar that I reccomend. Even if someone jack hammers the safe they still won't be able to take it out because of the rebar at the bottom which means theyll have to drill all the way to the bottom to tear the supports out. even if someone does break into my house they have to be looking for it. any safe can be cracked, this is to make it to where the safe is unable to move and is as hidden as possible. Even if I forget the passcode to the safe or what have I can crack the safe open in a day with tools.
