Probably the value of thoroughly backtesting your TA system to iron out the kinks and prove it actually works better than a coin flip. Instead of asking about or researching about the supposed usefulness of a particular indicator, slap it on a variety of historical charts and TEST and MEASURE to see for yourself if it's any good. Seems like an obvious thing but I had never done it beyond a while quick checks and 'seems alright' conclusion. Major change. Instantly better returns once I put a rigorously tested system in to live fire conditions.
