Oh wow vaporware. you can get back to me when it works.

Also if it ends up working then people who support monero would support this project as well. So I’m not sure what you are getting at. Tribalism is stupid. Monero supporters just want privacy and fungibility.

So far there's only https://tornado.cash/, which is anonymous for 0.1 eth, 1 and 10 eth eventually (>500 deposits).
but the point is future, the point of buying is to predict the future better than the market. Zk sync could process more transactions in one hour than monero ever did. I'm not even memeing
That means an anonymity sets of several million after some time, for both eth and dai (other tokens too, although they are probably not going to get that much use).

shut the fuck up faggot, /biz/ doesn't give a shit about privacy which is why they fall for scams like fantom or coinmetro. take this shit to the /g/ayniggers

Zksnarks require a “trusted set up” as far as I know. I mean I am a big ethereum fan and I am following the side chain tech but as of now monero is by far the most trustworthy privacy coin because of its mandatory privacy.

>> No.16654151

>>16654137
trusted setup doesn't impact anonymity and is a non-issue because of multiparty computation.
>as of now monero is by far the most trustworthy privacy coin
maybe, but that's not really a reason to buy it

That’s actually provably wrong.

https://mobile.twitter.com/JEhrenhofer/status/1152300492216832000

Because of this you have issues in fungability.

And why wouldn’t you invest in a committed grass roots foundation that is dedicated to privacy? Put your tribalism aside and do some research. Only getting into crypto for speculation is a losing game.

>thinks the majority that puts all their info on facebook gives 2 shits about your criminal coin

That said, I love xmr. But the chances of it mooning are slim

what is provably wrong?
There's no better solution than the full black box that zk-snarks are offering (also possible with starks at a bigger bandwidth and verification cost). It's not magic, if no one enters the box except for you the anonymity set is 1.
Trusted setup doesn't impact anonymity, because even if its broken, someone can only steal funds, not deanonymize them.
But with generation protocols of 1-of-n (only one person has to be honest) it's not a real problem.

Should I go 50% XMR 50% BTC or 100% XMR?

>> No.16654377

I'm 50:50.

Not buying XMR because other coins might add privacy in the future is retarded. More likely than not XMR will remain the purest privacy play.

Nerva is an infinitely better buy. Maybe fatties XMR dual-mine bullshit coin will be okay, for flipping, but the real money is in XNV imo.
