I mined bitcoin back in 2011 but always instant sold it and followed it ever since. The system has never made any sense to me and I could never see it being adopted and actually used. It has only gotten value from selling to bigger idiots and it's illegal use cases which isn't sustainable, my only error was not realizing how many greater fools were actually out there and how long it would take to pop.

BSV is the first crypto I actually see as mainstream viable and have actually put USD into.

There are also other factors here at play.

The fact that ledger and trezor do not provide native support for BSV means that people using BSV have no way to use cold storage outside of using paper wallets. So once you put money into a paper wallet, your probably going to do so offline, and if you take all of those security measures you are very unlikely to want to go through that whole process over again, so you just leave your funds there for many months to many years decreasing selling pressure significantly. This is compounded by the effects of BitGo no longer providing custody solutions.
One other factor to realize is the fact that if you look at BSV charts, you will see that in many cases a few BTC and BCH supporters dumped their BSV holdings from the forks at very opportune moments, in many cases they did so recklessly leading them to lose out on potentially millions of dollars. The most recent pump to 200+ range on Bitfinex was followed by a dump to 40 dollars in the same daily candle. This tells you that someone really did not want BSV to break 250 dollars. But these people are now out of the market, so if they ever fomo back in during a rally (which is likely) that will probably want to get as much of their original position as possible before the price gets too high.

On the flip side you have other BTC and BCH supporters that used the dips as an opportunity to really try and punish the price of BSV, selling at critical levels hoping to really "spook the market". This happened right before our pump to 250 where you see unnatural selling below key levels of support. This was then followed by a massive rally (which goes to show you that the sell pressure was an orchestrated and artificial attempt at punishing the price of BSV).
Due to the high emotions of BSV proponents and enemies you see these unnatural fluctuations in price. They are annomolies and can't really be explained by traditional market incentives (trying to make money). A lot of people are politically motivated by and against BSV and Dr Craig. So this will lead to "un-expected" price events and can potentially only get worse.
You also have the "Satoshi Coins" event that might take place next year. This would probably push BSV way over 20k as the fomo would be massive and instant. You could also see a opposite reaction to these events where sheeople give up and dump all of their crypto leading us into a massive bear market (but i think the first scenario is more likely). The market participants are way more than that of 2013 when BTC went to 1200. Way more people are interested now in finding the right crypto that will win long term, so that will probably keep people from having a total moment of despair. A lot of folks will be happy to give up their 1 BTC for 50 BSV or even 10 BSV. If they know that BSV is the real BTC then it's a nice discount.
