It's funny that people think XRP is a scam. Compared to almost 5,000 other crypto currencies (see CMC) the value of XRP is at least understandable.
You can think about the project what you want. And yes, you definitely don't have to be a fan of Ripple or XRP. Nevertheless, one should acknowledge that XRP is already in use and the way for a real launch has been paved for years. Add to that the countless partnerships, the many offices, business partners, companies etc.
Think what you want about XRP. Really. Doubt the usecase calmly. But at least be realistic and accept that XRP acts professionally and has already planned steps for the next 5 years. I trust such a project more than the many projects that have grown out of any nursery or even today are still run by teenagers in suits. Apart from that, there are also many, very successful crypto currencies that are tether-contaminated.

Of course in the end not only XRP is left. I would never say that either. But you should still look at the market a little more critically. ...assuming you want to make money.
