It’s a coping mechanism, I forget the exact name of it but it’s something along the lines of “if I can’t make it, you can’t make it either”. It brings a sense of relief to some people knowing that others also missed the boat. Many people have portfolios in the red while Link holders are still up 4-5x depending on their buy. It’s tough for some of those people knowing that they too could have been profiting had they just taken a moment to research the project. Now they spend their time bringing others down to feel better about their irrational investment decisions.
