XTZ is going to be pointless once price trend changes b/c staking becomes unprofitable in a down trend.

right, the point i made is that it get rekt harder than the mean. right now it "mooning" is just catching up to where the rest of the market is right now. it went down 97%. no altcoin worth a shit did that poorly

The ath you're seeing was a fake/scam futures setup by hitbtc, the people who bought them never received any tokens after launch so that price is basically invalid until launch

>> No.16562389

>>16561845
yes, the feedback loop goes both ways
price goes up -> people see high staking income (in dollars), they buy -> price goes up more
when price starts going down it goes in the opposite direction

More people baking = more bonds/frozen deposits = lower baking rewards. There is pretty good economic system in Tezos, which is win-win regardless of increasing/decreasing total staking ratio.

I feel there won't be significant sell trends since most stakers expect real xtz price far ahead $2 (XTZ was super-underestimated from the beginning, it's road to the top 10 was similar to Bitcoin's path, with almost zero marketing/hype, not paying any exchanges for listings, and powerful community efforts). Staking ratio likely will fluctuate between 60-80% (this year it stably fluctuated between 70-80%, despite price drops/spikes)

imagine publishing a speculative article over an 8% swing in crypto currency.
