Do you penny pinch? I'm not talking about being cheap. I am actually talking about pinching coins you find on the ground.I literally will go around public and scan the ground for money.

I throw pennies on the ground.

Yeah, my favorite spot is under vending machines, people drop their coins underneath and are too lazy to pick them up.

>> No.165395

I do now, since I'm looking for copper pennies. And although it's rare, I wonder how many silver coins are still out there, possibly in vending machines or in fountains...

I throw them in the garbage because it is garbage money.

I live in Canada. There are no pennies here.

My friends have made a joke about me being Jewish so whenever we hang out and they buy something they give me the coin change as a joke saying "you need this more than me". I ain't even mad.

If you really want to get lots of silver coins then you should start a similar company. Kids are going to clean out recently passed grandpas house and find a ton of coins and what is the first thing they're going to do? Take them to one of these machines and make a buck.

Hell, I'd be even so bold as to make a slot for larger coins like silver dollars.

Looking for copper pennies is a waste of time unless you can do it rapidly in bulk.

I'll pick up coins that I happen across, but I don't go hunting for them.

If I stumble across money on the floor why the fuck wouldn't I pick it up? OP you're dumb.

>not being Jewish at heart
A jew once told me that I was more Jewish that anyone he knew.

Let's say you pick up a penny every 30 seconds. This includes seeing it, bending down, and picking it up.

How much is that? 1.20 an hour.
How fucking cheap are you?

Granted, not all coins on the ground are pennies(which are fucking worthless), but is it really worth your time? Probably not, unless you're a neet fag.

This isn't frugality, this is extreme cheapskate level faggotry.

OP, do you know how copper wire was invented? Two jews were fighting over a penny.

I got 10 dollars the other day! I would have been a lot more happy if my friends weren't so jealous that they stopped talking to me for like 5 minutes.

I once found a £50 note outside my home on Christmas Eve.

Thanks Santa

Think about it this way, how much effort does it take to pick up a coin you've spotted?
Usually little to none, so it's always worth doing.

A friend of mine told me that the cash tray in certain older "Mini Bank" brand ATMs isn't designed well, and people tend to unwittingly leave money they've withdrawn sitting in it without noticing. There was one in his apartment complex and over some months collected $120 that people just left sitting in the tray.
