Im not sure on your thoughts, but it almost feels like the markets waiting for something to push it towards the next bull cycle. 2016/2017 it was stimulated by ETH. Nowadays, the blockchain hype is fading, and based on the tech and implications of Holochain, it might be the project that does exactly what ETH did back in the day.

I have double what OP has I also fell for this scam.

I realized this wasn’t going to work when the team mentioned the most important piece was the holoOS.

Developers could use an aws server with a holoOS image and charge themselves 0 holo fuel and only worry about the aws bill. They would do this to avoid having to worry about Holo fuel. Their application would still be distributed without the hassle of buying credits.

I still believe holochain is the only useful blockchain/holochain project but it’s going to be a lot tougher than these shills claim.

Ask yourself is Bitcoin or ETH used in a decentralized distributed world wide cloud hosting service?

When you see that the answer is no you will also come to realize that Holofuel will have an actual use case in the Fiat world.

The only thing that is in common is that Hot is currently an erc20 token, but after it has all been swapped out for Holofuel it is an entirely different ballgame.

ETH/BTC have increased largely due to speculation and hype. Holofuel will rise because of hosting value provided, there is a real service provided that will be measurable.1 HF credit right will get someone X amount of hosting.. that amount of hosting is to be determined. But with many hosts and not a ton of Happs upfront, the competition will force hosts to charge less HF for their hosting. This then ultimately makes the HF provide more hosting power, which in the long run results in people paying more for each HF credit. We can't know for certain how these dynamics will play out, but it's expected that the price of HF now will be extremely low for the amount of hosting one will be able to receive for that price. So that will result in Happ developers running to buy as much HF as possible for actuall utility, not simply based on wanting to make a ton of money. But obviously this then will make us all a ton of money too

Its similar I suppose to how ETH developers loaded up on ETH to pay gas fees. This along with speculative investors helped balloon the price.
